I have four planets in the sixth house: Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Mars. Doesn't the 6th house have to do with work and health? My 6th house starts at the end of Capricorn and nearly all of it is in Aquarius; Mars is in Capricorn, though.

I wish I knew more about the sixth house because it doesn't seem to fit me at all from what I've read about it.

I'm very lazy and I lay in bed all day and really wouldn't want to ever get a job; self-employment is more for me but I don't even want to do that. Like, my sun is in that house, so I didn't think a lot could counteract it. My moon is in the 12th house.

Please tell me about the sixth house!

Geez, I wish I could help you cause I'm in the same situation: a loaded 6th house and um, no, I do not relate to the descriptions at all. I'm the same way as you, I hate working, and I'm not organised or responsible or 'healthy'.

But I think it's about *developing* this area of our lives.. so if you're super lazy, here's your goal: get off your but* and start working!

It's also known as the house of personal crisis... yep, endearing, I know.

So basically we're supposed to improve ourselves and our everyday life in order to become organised, healthy individuals and then in turn help other people.

Especially if you have a 12th house Moon, "service" is a big theme in your life (yeah I know your ego probably loves this idea verrry much).

There was a thread about the 6th house and it got pretty deep and interesting.

I have pluto and uranus there plus the 6th house ruler conjunct my sun and jupiter. So I felt the same way, lazy etc. Until Saturn was kind enough to visit and since I have really started to get myself together. Still there for a couple years too. But def. agree with improving our everyday life for growth.

Ok, let's see if this helps... the 6'th House is the House of Virgo (earth... mutable signs) - ruled by Mercury (the planet of the mind - of the intellect, fast thinking notions - meant for dealing with "the now/present time/real time") - which implies an "introspective perspective" of the physical world and the details that define every little thing in it - as it's perceived by "the five senses (what you see, what you hear, what's palpable, what you smell and what you taste)". If you look at the Virgo sign - there is a needle that's oriented in the interior... which makes them "painfully aware (Scorpio has the needle on the exterior - which can make other painfully aware ... )" - that obsession with their imperfection and the imperfections of the world - can be painful... So, they try to fix their world and everything in it - they try to bring order in chaos... after all - this Universe has it's own order - which may seem chaotic to the human mind - wile Virgos have their own order which is based on structure... and that implies hard work, a lot of hard work to maintain the structure of their world - both exterior and interior.... since they see even themselves as part of that structure - something that needs to be improved and maintained wile aiming for perfection.

That being said - the 6'th house... it's an area of our lives that can be defined by what the adults call "growing up - becoming an adult"... no more childish stuff (dealing with life in a playful way, falling in love and so on) - as implied by House 5... now you're dealing with the next step in life - where you have to get your **** together and become self sufficient and disciplined: - get a job, deal house choirs with a sense of order and responsibility, take care of your health and try to improve your life and maintain it in a practical way...even pragmatic. And then there's the obsessive part - where we can talk about workaholics, people that are obsessed with cleaning or even obsessed with perfection when it comes to their own body.

That's what 6'th house stands for... but it won't fall in Virgo for every one of us, each sign ads something to the mix which can imply a different way to deal with it.

A full house - shows an important area of your life... yet - even the Sun alone in a house is very important - after-all - the Sun is related to our sense of identity... If you ignore the House in which the Sun is placed - you can't get mature from this point of view and your Sun gets weaker, which can make you feel like you're living your life on "auto-pilot" - developing superficial tendencies specific to our ASC. Also, check the aspects with the Sun - to get a better picture on what helps or a possible cause of struggle.

TaurusRising,

I have Saturn transiting my 6th house now, it's crossed my Venus/Jupiter already and is now on my Mercury, then it will move onto my Sun, Pluto and Mars.

I haven't learned the lessons yet... still my old, lazy self.. But I know I *should* do something because my lack of practicality has been causing me trouble and health issues. Sigh there's no way around it.

7th,

That's a great description!
I agree with you.
Unfortunately, I'm still stuck in my 5th house, where my Moon resides.
I just.. ugh I don't wanna "grow up". I'm still in "play" mode and everyday life bores me to tears.

I do have my Sun and every other personal planet in the 6th, except for the Moon. I wish I had a different chart, fck this 6th house thing, I don't like it :cries:

And I have a Virgo Moon to boot

Someone's gonna have to kick me in the a$$ for me to learn my life lessons And I know who that will be.. *cough*Saturn*cough*

Well, you have at least a decade till things get really tough (Saturn Return) - so, there's still time for child play ^^ ...at you age - I was having the time of my life. Without taking in consideration the Saturn return - you have at least 4 years till pressure starts building... Though, with a Virgo Moon in House 5 - that can be kinda heavy on child'like type of having fun (House 5/Leo type of having fun... where you're the center of your world - same as the Sun). It's one of those astrological ironies - Moon being the ruler of House 4 wile Virgo rules House 6 - you're kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place with this placement - a introspective emotional side. We all have to find "our own way of having fun" - but yours might differ even more from what most understand by that - so whatever it is... don't mind the rest or try to follow - just do your thing the way you see fit, we're all different in our own way. If introversion is you're thing, stick with that and be proud of it, there's nothing wrong with being an introvert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0KYU2j0TM4 - just a different way of having fun and experiencing life. ^^

If any of your personal planets are in the sixth house,

Get a dog (if you don't already have one)!
