If I'm not mistaken, Personal planets are: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars and Venus, and the rest are the outer planets. I think it has to do with the movement of the planets.I mean, Moon moves quickly so you can't really know where you have your Moon unless you calculate your chart, but well I know that my friends who are the same age as me have their Jupiter in Leo, Saturn in Aquarius etc, because these planets move too slowly. It's like a generational thing. IP: Logged |

The personal planets are actually: Mercury, Venus, and Mars (because they're located between the Sun and Earth). The Sun and Moon are called luminaries, not planets. Next, Jupiter and Saturn are referred to as collective planets, although an article I read years ago in Mountain Astrologer magazine said that Jupiter and Saturn are actually "half-collective / half-personal," as in--depending on their placement (by sign, house, and aspects in your natal chart)--they'll show where you yourself fit into the collective (society and the universe as a whole), and personal because they also show your personal involvement in that collective. Make sense? Then there are the outer planets--Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. They are slower moving and thought of as "generational planets," each in their own way. Hope this helps, too! IP: Logged |
