Someone who really negatively affects your self-esteem, not even consciously or deliberately so but seemingly just by virtue of their essence, being around them causes you to feel badly about yourself and getting distance from them prompts your self-esteem to bounce back?IP: Logged |

In my experience pluto is involved. But pluto can be used for healing the other person too, so it depends on the people involved. Anyway a sun-pluto interaspect a hard aspect between moon and mars (moon feels hurt without reason sometimes) sun square saturn can be tough too for both people. They just don´t get eachother alot of times (In my experience only) I also noticed that water moons just don´t feel good around fire moons for too long, especially aries and leo rub us the wrong way. It can also depend on the natal chart. hard aspects to chiron in natal show where your soft spots are. For example if you have venus opposition chiron you have a wound when it comes to relationships, and if you have that in synastry than that person can make you feel so vulnerable and unlovable. On the other hand they could hel the wound too. Depends on the people invilved.. IP: Logged |

Dang, I was thinking about Saturn on the ASC, too!Wow, seems like it's a common one. Oh yes, and Chiron, of course!

I agree. I as ascendant feel like ´m never good enough in this persons eyes. Like I´m too sloppy, not up to standards, weird, and so on.. Did you feel this way too? IP: Logged |

Wouldn´t you agree though that all these aspects can have positive outcomes too though? All aspects can go both ways, right?

oh yes definitely. The worst part is, I was deeply in love and wanted to impress them and all ... but felt paralyzed, literally. Whenever they're not around, it's like a breathe of fresh air to me. IP: Logged |

I´m in exactly the same situation right now. Paralyzed is the right word! It´s like I feel so judged all the time! And I think alot of it is irrational fear, but maybe they really are judging me, idk..
Do you think this aspects feels the same for the saturn person? IP: Logged |

I was the Saturn person in a loose ASC/Saturn conjunction and I was the one who felt insecure. But their Chiron fell on my ASC so.. it probably had to do with their Chiron on my ASC and not my Saturn on their ASC. I don't think they felt insecure or stifled by me, though. But they weren't *open* with me or very spontaneous... I didn't really like the "formal" manners, even though there was some kind of stability.

Vick, it was just a coincidence. Oh wait, there is no such thing as "coincidence"...aww :-) Little Doe, yes, those Saturn aspects can be positive of course, but only if the Saturn person loves you. If not, then that person can have, even unconsciously so, an adverse effect on your well being.

Interesting. We bothe felt the same way and we were on opposite sides of this aspect. I think that I (asc) am pretty reserved about my feelings when I´m around him so he probably can´t tell that I feel judged..

It depends on how is Saturn playing out in their chart. But theoretically, Saturn has control over the ASC person. In my case, though we were romantically involved he never opened up to me and was very cold. I think the asc person triggers a sense of formality and rigidity in the Saturn person but in a different way. If the saturn person is playful and open in nature , they'll tone it down in your presence not because of insecurities but because they think you're not on the same level. IP: Logged |

Oh wow, so they really consider the asc person "beneath" them? that´s pretty hars.. (I know it depends on the people involved though..)

^This! I'm usually quite open / playful but when I was my natural self with that person, they didn't seem to approve very much... so I had to tone it down and I felt restricted. Weird that I was the Saturn person and not the ASC person, though. Maybe it was something else in our synastry. IP: Logged |

Oh, I know what you´re talking about. I remember when I first met the guy (saturn) he was VERY goofy, and always joking, but in an obnoxious way, at least that´s how I felt. And I kind of didn´t approve of it becuse it made me feel insecure, so whenever he sees me he tones it down. I didn´t mean to make him tone it down, it´s just that I didn´t know how to respond to his goofyness.. IP: Logged |
