Some sites say it's pluto that gets obsessed while others say it's venus. I'm not sure which it is.

Could be!

Does he have Venus/Pluto natally? Or in synastry? That would amplify things.

It's about composite here, but in my experience and from what I've read over and over again, the Venus person is *usually* the more obsessed/infatuated one.

Pluto can be controlling/possessive though.

Depends on the natal chart completely..
If the Pluto person doesn't have prominent Pluto natally, they probably won't feel the Pluto energy much.

Nope no venus pluto natally.....but he DOES have pluto conjunct 7th ruler ( does that count?)
and, no venus-pluto aspects in synastry....but my Sun opposes his venus-pluto midpoint....
And, we have composite venus-pluto quintile...

Oh well, Pluto conjunct ruler of DSC could be quite powerful, I guess!
So he may indeed be quite the obsessive type in relationships, especially if he has strong Scorpio and not too much air or Uranus.

Does he *seem* to be obessed? Like calling often, or stalking?

I have Pluto in the 7th in exact conjunction to my 7th house ruler(Mercury) and i obsess over the object of my affection to the point i get sick. Its really extremal. My mind would explode. Usually, they are never aware of it. I wont let it out.

Hm, well I wouldn't expect him to be obessed with these placements, but who knows.

Do you have a Venus/Pluto aspect yourself or a prominent Pluto somehow?

hmmm. I started taking a semi-private class after work and the instructor and I have lots of pluto.

My pluto squares their venus
My pluto trines their mercury (Exact trine)
My pluto sextiles their moon
My pluto opposes their jupiter
My pluto squares their saturn

Their pluto sextiles my sun
Their pluto sextiles my mercury
Their pluto sextiles my venus (exact)
Their pluto squares my mars

I do find myself thinking about this person a lot for unexplainable reasons so I think I might be the "obsessed" one (even though I have no intention of being with them romantically.)

We also have a lot of Jupiter contacts, which is supposedly great for teacher/student relationships... but it is THEIR jupiter that trines my moon, sun, mercury and venus. Is the jupiter person the "teacher" in the relationship or is the other planet? I really hope it's jupiter because otherwise I'm the one who should be charging.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion/teaching/higher learning so it makes sense that *their* Jupiter makes aspects to your planets: they teach you something, they "expand your horizons".

Oh so your Pluto makes some hard aspects to their planets and you're the one who's kind of obsessed.. interesting.

Double whammies are said to be very powerful, especially with Venus/Pluto.

Looks that way so far... although I read somewhere once that the square between Pluto/Venus can often make the venus person feel uncomfortable because they feel like they are being intensely "watched" by the Pluto person. Like they can feel the obsession that Pluto has for them and it scares them a little...but I think most people agree with what you have said. In any case the square between Pluto/Venus with us is at almost 9 degrees, but the Trine between My pluto and their mercury is exact and I can DEFINITELY see that influence clear as day. Without even trying I somehow inspire them to communicate a lot to me! I get them talking and talking and talking in a way that the other students don't. As far as their pluto goes the tightest aspect is their pluto sextile my venus. Have no idea how they are experiencing that one if at all.

Yes, that's definitely a possiblity..
I've kinda experienced something similar but with a (albeit loose) opposition, I was the Pluto.

hmm....i guess i do have prominent pluto...not sure
ASC square pluto
IC conjunct pluto in scorpio along with NN in scorpio
Mercury-Venus conjunct in 8th house and mercury is sesquiquadrate pluto
12th house mars trine pluto........
Venus-Pluto are connected strongly i think, but Indirectly...
like, 8th house venus is trine pluto, but widely ( 9 deg)
Venus is contraparallel pluto
Ruler of 2nd in 8th and Ruler of 8th in 2nd....and some other 3-4 aspects like these that are venus-pluto in nature.....
All personal planets except sun-moon are connected to pluto in some way..

Do these factors make me plutonian?

One thing i didnt mention......
Along with the venus-pluto double whammy between the composite and his natal, there is also another double whammy there of venus-asc.
i.e, Composite ASC conjunct his natal Venus
Composite Venus conjunct his natal ASC

What do these aspects do here?

Mandy,

Yeah, Pluto trine Mercury is quite good!
Pluto sextile Venus isn't necessarily strong, I think. It adds some liking between you two but may not be "in your face".

twin,

You're quite Plutonian, yeah, but not thaaat much. If Pluto was connected to your Sun/Moon via hard aspect, that would have been stronger. However the square to the ASC and conjunction to the IC are quite potent, so.

I was asking about Venus / Pluto natally in your chart especially because usually people who have it attract Plutonian partners who become quickly obsessed with them.
But that may not be exactly the case, here.

Oh, Composite ASC on his Venus is *very* important! It means that the relationship itself (ASC) is directly connected to his love nature (Venus) and it probably makes him feel quite good.

Yeah it does.....no matter how upset i am with him, he naturally feels good when i'm around...and the fact that i'm angry doesnt bother him that much..or thats how it looks like...
Basically this is a Composite Pluto-Ascendant conjunction that sits on his venus....
But, what does the Composite Venus on his natal asc do?

( Composite venus is also composite ruler of asc)
