Nostalgia, the past; it makes me so tired, so wistful. I feel defeated by the past. I think of what's passed - periods of my life - and I just want to do it again. I want to do it differently, do it the same, just live it once again to have the experience for god's sake! I have a longing to wade in my past because it was so differently from now, in feelings and settings.

I want to be alive, but be alive then, and be alive now, and at the same time, at a completely different section in my life's journey. But I can't, I can only remember and look over proofs of existence of the past, and then remember what I felt, for who I felt, and for why. How finitely I can only experience the now, right now.

Sun on the IC in Scorpio. "Think I'll miss you forever!" And how do you feel about the past...? IC placements appreciated.

I feel the same way, too, sometimes.
The way we imagine our past is always prettier, or darker, than it actually was.. Memories can be easily modified to our pleasing. But oh, how sweet some memories..

Whenever I think of the past the film "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (I love that film) always come to mind. The desire that comes about, for a fleeting second in the height of emotion, to be able to erase memories and disconnect completely from whatever has passed. The eternal sunshine of oblivion, living only in the present.

I think memories are the most precious thing we have, no matter how painful. "This too shall pass" - and all that will connect us to it are memories.

I have IC in Taurus, but I don't know how that relates.

The IC is supposed to be, literally, your past (among other things, of course). But to me, it's has another meaning, like the MC, too: memories as your connection to the past, just as your aspirations connect you to the future.

I’ve got sun,mars,mercury and saturn in 4th,aqua IC.Past haunts me.T. Chiron is in my 4th,if I dont occupy myself in some stuff,my past begins to replay in my head and I have to force myself to snap out of it.Sometimes I just want to go back and change everything.I see people of my past in my dreams these days,very weird.

My Saturn sits exactly on my IC with Neptune not too far away. I often feel very restricted by old memories or the things I've been through in the past, they're really hard to shake off. When I start thinking about the past too much, I get so sad again, like I'm reliving it right there. Lots of cases where I felt held back from what I was going (IC in Capricorn). Even now I sometimes get these flashbacks whenever I'm in a new situation, which immediately scare me into doing it.

I have gotten some people pop up in my dreams too. People I haven't even talked to in years. It's so weird. Kind of creeps me out. Been doing a lot of reminiscing lately, trying to get some closure for things I've never really moved on from.

But it's so true, things always feel different later.

I feel it every day. I used to be okay, only feeling it here and there.

I don't know what it is. I have Saturn in Cancer aspecting things, and Mars in Pisces. 6th house perfectionistic Sun (even though I hardly ever get anything right anymore). Tr. Neptune is all over my chart - I preferred Uranus there (so to speak). I've experienced a lot of loss, and I know that more is in the future. I feel like I have no future - what there is of it doesn't look good. So that's a part of it for me (Tr. Pluto in the 3rd, too). I want a do-over for the past, and to feel like I have a future.

I don't really think a lot about the past.. well, the negative stuff. My thoughts about the past are for a big part positive
I like thinking about fun and loving moments. Don't like to dwell in negative feelings, you know? What happened, happened. You can't do anything about it and I also believe that everything happened for a reason, so that's also the case for the negative stuff you've been through.

Everything you experience makes you more YOU, you evolve in the person you're supposed to be at the end. You get a step forward.
I definitely don't regret anything I did, because those decisions made me the person I am today.

I used to live in the past.. At some point I was even trying to contact all my old friends and hang out with them and do things I used to do with them just so I can make myself believe I was back. Lol >_>
Before that the past would scare me because of all the bad things I went through and experiences... anxietyyyyy

But then I recently realized the past and future both are NOTHING. This moment is what really matters, you could make it whatever you want. The best moment of your lifeeee~
