yeah I know. and I don't like watching drama movies based on real life events that will end up having the good guys killed.

mars inconjunct pluto, I love good action-packed movies.

<nod head in agreement>

Yeah, it makes me sad when they don't get the happy ending that they deserve. I think it's also about the fact that I'm a bit dreamy/idealistic (12th house, 12th house), so movies like those kinda “burst my bubble” because it shows that life isn’t always fair =D

I know that you don't like horror movies but this one is quite good, especially for a rainy night. The story is a bit sad, but it is scary enough. I watched it when I was living alone and I was so scared I couldn’t sleep that night haha

Lol oh yeah same here, same here. Even with books, I just read them once to know the full stories, then whenever I read them again I make sure to leave out the sad bits =))

Yeah same here, I bring a book with me whenever I go. There was a time I was reading a new book while I was crossing the street and nearly got hit by a car (couldn’t wait until I got home, you see).

I like many kinds of books, except for soap romantic books that are filled with "heaving bosoms", "wet kisses,"beads of sweats", "burning passion" and "cosuming desires"...

I especially love naturalist books, I’ve just bought Notes from Walnut Tree Farm by Roger Deakin (for a sale price of only 5 dollars, my inner Capricorn screams in joy).

Fantasy books – they fuels my imagination. Love them. Lord of the rings and Temeraire are two of my most favourites.

Satire books – I like them, but they are a bit difficult for me to understand, I think it’s because I don’t know much about the background or the culture. And also because I only started to read books in English about 6, 7 years ago so the language barriers also make it harder to understand the sarcasm and the hidden meaning.

How about you ? What kind of books do you like ?

And list the aspects that you think apply.

I really don't like horror movies. I will never spend money on horror movies!

am pretty hooked on The Following atm though ( it's kinda gory with lots of blood, I don't really fancy this genre but I love psychological thrillers).

and yes, I loved all retro cartoons

you know the batman series, ninja turtles, superman, Hulk etc

YAY!!! A fellow Follower ;D

LOVE The Following, this is pretty typical of the sort of genre I like. I'm not into slasher/gore like Saw which I think is just plain horrific for the hell of it, but I do like thrillers. Anything jumpy suspenseful with a sinister undertone (infact I really enjoyed "Sinister" with Ethan Hawke)

I'm more of a guy when it comes to films, I really dont like Romantic comedies or chick flicks. My all time favourites are The Devils Advocate and The Godfather part 2.

But I also love classics like Top Gun and The Lost Boys, infact I would say The Lost Boys is another all time fav

Comedy wise I'm not a huge fan but I'm not ashamed to say I nearly wet myself watching the American Pie series haha!

I would say my tastes are pretty tied in wth my 8th house stellium and my predominance of the water element...seeking a deeper meaning. (Apart from American Pie of course )

kewl!!! I thought no one watches The Following. am loving this show. seriously Kevin Bacon totally owns it, he's really very comfortable playing his character in the show. I really feel for this guy, stabbed in the heart by Caroll, and he's barely holding his sheet together in each episode, you can see him battling with himself so much. Love his performance, really.I don't trust this new female detective though, something fishy about her.

I'm an avid reader since I was small.Books are a world I can escape into, sometimes I really want to escape into the books I read. My Cap rising prefer to deal with people in my books than real people,so I used to bury myself in my books.

My favs authors are Sidney Sheldon,Michael Connelly,Robert Ludlum( the Bourne series, unfortunately he passed away) legal thrillers by John Grisham, John Le Carre, spy thrillers, Lee Child ( The Jack Reacher books now adapted for the big screen), Dennis Lehane, Mystic River made into a movie. I'm currently reading Carte Blanche By John Le Carre, the latest Bond book.

So I don't read romance novels, not my type. I love spy, psychological, drama, crime, legal thrillers mostly.

Oh, I love it! I cant wait for the next episode tonight...I agree with you about the lady, there is definitely something up with her. I also think Agent Mike Weston is connected, but I think he's Ryan's follower. Notice how he insists on being there whenever Ryan is in a risky situation, and how he knows everything about him? I wonder if his job is to keep Ryan alive until Joe says otherwise. Just as Army guy did with Claire.

you know, I actually created a Follower thread in one of the other forums but hardly got any replies

What about the hornby books? I thot high fidelity waz cool for a romance movie. About a boy could have been better shot.

I read several of the bourne books. I like the one he has a doppleganger.

Classic! Loved that bar scene. (Loved all of it to be honest)

Sorry Mr Peregrine, but for me The Godfather 2 was the best Love how it juxtaposed (big word - yay me!) the decline of Michael with the rise of his father, Vito. It contrasted the characters of the father and son brilliantly.

Not to mention the fact that fine Taurean man Mr Pacino looked the best I think I ever saw him look...

No romance novels, tick. Avid reader since she was small, tick. Gah I’ve met my kindred spirit. A fellow bookworm.

I like to visit the stores that sell old books, mostly because I like their musty smell. <weird book sniffer> lol. When I was little I used to follow my father around and he introduced me to the joy of reading.
Having too many planets in the 12th conjunct the ascendant, I find it difficult to separate my imagined world from reality sometimes. When I read I set all of my troubles aside, and for a while I’d have total peace of mind. Every time when I “return” from the books, I always feel a little sad.

I have only read 2 or 3 thrillers novels. Now I’m curious (thanks to you lol), so I’ll find some from those authors tomorrow.

It’s been nice talking to you and peregrine. Now I must get ready for work. Have a good day everyone.
