You know how in Vedic astrology your sign moves back one? What if you took that but applied the Western house placements to your chart. Do you find the descriptions more accurate or no?IP: Logged |

Well I've read some descriptions and they're close to the western sign. So I can arguably say the sign may be different but the meaning is essentially the same. For instance vedic libra suns are very dark and sensitive, yet they're very attractive because the sun is debilitated in libra. Also in Vedic masculine signs are more reserved while female signs are outgoing.IP: Logged |

You mean the western sign in that placement, or the western sign in general? For example, I'm an Aries in Western astrology. My Sun falls in the 11th house. But instead, what if I read it as having Sun in Pisces in the 11th house. See what I mean? Not clarifying because I think you didn't understand but in case others are reading this I don't want there to be a misunderstanding of what I mean. IP: Logged |

I think that all that matters is if you can consistently get accurate results/interpretations from the system you are using. So if you want mix Vedic, Western, Voodoo...whatever... if you can read it consistently and accurately that's all that matters. But it might be a lot more time consuming to come up with your own system rather than using one that's already tried and true.
