I have Mars and Jupiter there in Gemini. I'm starting to realize my romantic relationships work better when no one else knows about them (no family or friends), and I feel less skittish.

From some of the 12th house relationships that I've seen, it's more like the attraction n chemistry between them are difficult to understand.

My 12th house stellium (sun, venus, merc, neptune, uranus) is in his 12th house and his 12th house neptune also falls into my 12th house. We can be a bit of a private couple.

My s.o's parents, my cousin and some friends and their partners - Their relationships aren't secret, n as far as I know those relationships and marriages didn't start as a secret affair.

With my parents, however, I guess their relationship at first was somewhat secret. My mother was promised to another (it was arranged, not by her choice) and my father waltzed in out of nowhere. They kept it a secret for a little while coz it was considered quite scandalous to break that kind of promise.

I have Mars & Venus in the 12th. I like to keep my relationships private and keep them to myself. Not everyone needs know about every detail. I have girlfriends that just drone on and on about their loves lives.

Things don't always need to be soooo dramatic. Sometimes it's much simpler.

I have natally a twelfth house stellium in Scorpio: Venus, Mars and Jupiter all in Scorpio. My Ascendant is barely out of my 12th House in Sagittarius in 0 degrees. Neptune resides there right on my Ascendant in one degree.

Having this stellium in the 12th House is no fun and can be quite dangerous. I'm currently in a clandestine affair for the past two and half years. It has been very tough because men just want to deal with me in private and behind closed doors. Men in my life in the past have always dealt with me in secrecy and I don't like this. I'm very attractive too.

Moon and Saturn aspect negatively all personal planets.

By the way this is my other natal chart, I do have another one. Ha ha.

This description says it all.. i had this Sun + Venus + Mars in 12th in composite with my ex. Very passionate but very secret..we never really talked when together..

Can it still mean this if only you have a planet in there natally?

Ha, I just posted something about this in interpersonal... wanting to know about people who need their relationships to be labelless and private.

I have a 1st house venus and mars, so when someone is taking on the role of boyfriend in my life, I feel anxious to let people know. It feels unnatural and wrong to keep it private.

My current man is 12H venus (in scorpio). He feels anxious when people KNOW about his relationships. He's also from a culture that constantly tries to arrange marriages for him - he runs from that pressure. He feels best when no one is having a say except him and me. I've seen the difference with my own eyes.

But, I'll admit his 12H has made me run more than once. Like, wtf, are we together or am I the other woman? Has scared me so much, but overtime I have realized where it comes from on his side.

I'd say 12H definitely, but with Neptune inhabiting it a lot, yes.

Great thread. I am enjoying the different perspectives. Here is a question for you all.

Has anyone noticed a significant difference in whether the 12th house planet in the synastry is in the same sign as the ascendant or in the sign previous? For instance, if you are Taurus rising at 17 degrees, and the other person's Venus falls in your 12th house at 5 degrees Taurus instead of let's say 28 degrees Aries. Would being in the same sign make more for an spiritual connection since this is the same sign, or would the secretive quality still be present/dominant?

I am asking because some classical astrologers use equal/whole signs method, and in this method, same sign 12th house planets would not be considered 12th house...

Belage,

yes I think there might be a difference.
The signenergy will feel familiar.
I have Mars in my 12th house natally, but conjunct my ASC and same sign. And while it DOES act like a 12th house Mars, I feel it has an easier outlet, does not become so much like a "blind spot" for me

@Ceriden, that's what I suspect. I had 2 ex with moon in my 12th house but in same sign as my ascendant, and I was always aware of their moods/emotions and our relationship was not secret.

I've had a secret crush on someone whose sun fell in my 12th house, but not same sign as my ascendant. The crush lasted for years and no one knew about it.

I will be keeping this difference in mind when evaluating 12th house aspects from now on.

Why would it be the 12th house and not the 8th? I've read that the 8th house are secrets that you keep from other people. As in having a secret relationship with someone. But not telling anyone else about it. And 12th house are about secrets that have been kept from you. Like if you were involved with someone. Yet they were having a secret relationship with someone else. Yet they didn't tell you about it.

8th house is not secrets, 8th house is the taboo and all things that cause catastrophic mayhem on a psychological level for those underdeveloped souls. 12th house is more secrets because it is ruled by Neptune and Neptune is the heightened version of Venusian love and glamour. Neptune adds a very mystical fog to things, a disenchantment. It makes you think your misguided behavior is sweet and rosy and will all turn out fine, which is essentially how most love affairs and scandals work. I think the 8th house in a synastry or composite would be centered more around a psychologically tested relationship, way too intense for those who aren't used to the energy. All the water houses are about relationships, but 12th house is more about the fogginess of relationships. Like having an affair or a love child.

4th house: the nurturing relationships, can feel familial or parental. Couple sees each other on an earthly plane, to nurture one another.

8th house: the psychologically intense relationship, embedded in intense commitment and devoted passion. Couple sees each others on a mental plane, to intensely merge and overlap with one another. To engulf, consume one another.

12th house: the murky relationships, very foggy and placed in a higher consciousness. The couple is seeing each other in a heavenly plane rather than on this earth. This can be something spiritual or something very tragic. As always, it is not good to have both of your heads in the clouds about the state of your relationship. That's what leads to affairs.

And, to be fair, all the water houses/signs are pretty secretive. Or rather, they are very kept to themselves. Very protective of what's theirs.

Well I have Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and North Node in my 8th house. And I'm secretive when it comes to relationships. There is a video on YouTube about the 8th house. The astrologer states that people who have Venus in the 8th tend to have relationships that people don't know about.
