What do you guys think is more potent: Moon contacts in synastry or significant 4th house overlays?Which is more lasting? What would cause you to *feel* more -- and how are they different? Do you think that you can have an emotional connection on 4th House overlays alone, without significant moon contact? IP: Logged |

It depends on the chart. My 4th house is libra and most of my personal planets are in capricorn so if someone has planets in there, then they are most likely aspecting one of them, my moon included. it is different though. The moon has more to do with your emotional state while the 4th house is who you are when you're really at ease. It's easy to feel at home with people who have planets in your 4th house. I don't know about the IC significance vs the moon though. Considering the IC is an angle.. But maybe planetary aspects are considered more important than house overlays? IP: Logged |

Hmmmm...., I can only speak from personal experience. While I don't know miss scorpio's birth time, I really think our Moons are very close in orb (gonna ask her nex time astrology comes up). I can tell you that I certainly feel the conjunct moons. However, her Sag Rx Merc is exactly conjunct my IC so that may have an effect as well.Speaking to Moon/Moon connections, I think those connections are underrated in synastry. The moon is how we innately want to receive emotions and our innate emotional response to things. This is very important in romantic connections. However, we must also take into account that some people's moon's are not important to them in their chart. ------------------ Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus Virgo Mars Virgo Asc And yes, I'm a guy! I would say the actual contact and not the overlay. Mars in the 4th house would be more noticeable than perhaps in the 2nd, because the 4th is an angle. The contact is non-stop while the overlay(no contacts) just sits in the background. IP: Logged |

I agree to this. I've had friends who have said that Moon-Moon isn't great. Then they encounter someone who has a positive Moon/Moon with them...and then it ends up being were they feel completely in sync. Moon-Moon is def underrated...and while I'm a Cancer at the end of the day sex and all the things that draw you to another at some point (Venus/Mars/Sun etc) do fade and if nothing is really there (ie Moon) then you find out and you find out fast! Thanks guys!I agree - synastry contacts are like having a personal transit ALL THE TIME you are with that person. Some Moon contacts are great -- but it's always complicated by your own natal aspects. I have Moon square Saturn as one of the tightest aspects in my chart, so anybody that aspects my Moon really tightly can also make me feel super uncomfortable. Good to know that 4th house placements make you feel comfortable... I definitely believe at least that house placements can be **outweighed** by aspects. I have Gemini on my 7th, and even though I find gabby skinny intellectual wordsmiths super attractive, I have Uranus Neptune and Saturn in my 1st house opposing them -- so these attractions never last long IP: Logged |

I think anytime something is on top of your IC, it really HITS A NERVE just kind of deep inside of you. You can't not feel it!!!But is there anybody who has felt intimacy or maybe even more emotional for people who stay inside their 4th house? IP: Logged |

Someone's Moon sits on my IC. His Moon is opposite my Moon. I think the Moon opposition brings sexual attraction for me, and also misunderstandings. But sometimes his Moon on my IC feels like time has stopped. There are moments when you are so aware of what the other person wants, needs, feels it's like looking in a mirror....feeling in a mirror. It's an amazing experience, and everything else falls away. Time stops. IP: Logged |

My boyfriends sun, venus and mercury is in my 4th house. And the 4th house has a lot of meaning to me, because I am cancer ASC and have a 4th house stellium already in my natal. I never tried a synastry overlay with so much 4th house before, but I feel very relaxed around my boyfriend, like I am 100% myself all the time, and is truly accepted by him. I also really see him as my family, like I have very deep feelings towards him. Not necessarily romantic, but indeed very rooted and comfortable. It's the kind of feelings I like, because it's already in my natal I suppose... My boyfriend on the other hand, got a 5th house stellium in his natal with Sun, mercury and venus in 5th house. And my Sun, venus, mercury and mars is in his 5th house, so he must clearly feel comfortable too with that kind of energy. And that is a very romantic and passionate energy, so though he doesn't touch any of my romantic houses I think it goes both ways, when almost all my personal planets hit his 5th house... We both got pisces moon, but they are not closely conjunct, they are like 10 degrees apart. Still I think we really get each other emotionally, it is like we are both each others types completely... Once he looked at me, like really intense looking, and I was like "What?" with a big smile on my face, and he told me that "You just look so feminine!" LOL, but still I really think this is the essence of pisces moon guys, they really like a girl that is feminine in her appearance... And with my virgo sun, pisces moon and cancer ascendant I can hardly be more feminine-looking lol
