My Sun and Mercury are both conjunct Neptune and Uranus in my natal chart. Even with a Virgo ascendant, Capricorn sun, and Capricorn Mercury I am a very offbeat person.
I would love to be a leader, but nobody takes me seriously. I have amazing ideas in my head but because I don't know how to properly explain them.

I'm not as serious and structured as most Capricorns.

People always tell me things like, "Oh child, I don't know how you find your way home," or "You'd lose your head if it weren't on your shoulders". Sayings like that do you no good when you wanna be taken seriously.

This speaks volumes to me:

Mercury conjunct Uranus
Interpretation sample from the In-Depth Profile report -- You get a new idea every minute and have difficulty waiting to express it. You are truly innovative and original in your thought process. While you are nervous, you do have good mechanical aptitude. If you can get control of your hands and mind, you can be quite inventive. You have a love for technical subjects and do your best work while blazing new trails on the frontiers of knowledge. Most of your difficulties stem from situations that require

conforming to everyone else's procedures. Unfortunately for you, a certain amount of traditional training is necessary or no one will understand how good your ideas really are. You have a flood of New Age information in you. You need to find a way to express it.

I would love to be a leader, but nobody takes me seriously. I have amazing ideas in my head but because I don't know how to properly explain them.

Because Mercury is the ruler of your Ascendant, that makes it strong. Uranus is conjunct Mercury making your thinking sporatic and impulsive. That's the negative side. On the positive side Uranus conj. Mercury could give you great inspirations and you could invent something. At any rate you have brainstorms but just need to learn how to better express them.

I also have Mercury in Capricorn and it's in mutual reception with Saturn making me a very serious thinker. So while we have the same Mercury sign, our aspects make us very different.

A lot would depend on how Uranus and Neptune are aspected.

Well aspected: Inventive and clever
Badly aspected: Somewhat deceitful in your communications.

My advice would be to improve your verbal communications by making sure you talk slowly and articulatly. Never exaggerate and make sure you always speak the truth. After a while people will listen.

Another idea would be to communicate your ideas more in writings. I have Mercury in Capricorn and actually Have been published.(not vanity). You have a lot of potential, you just need to find a way of communicating that properly.

Hope this helps. Work on better communication.

I tend to speak very metaphorically and "fanciful" as my boyfriend says.
I naturally explain myself with gestures and sounds rather than actual words and it drives some people mad.
