I'm very, very, very sensitive and emotional but I try to hide that from people because I don't think anyone would like it. But I end up having my feelings hurt because I repress my deepest wants. It's so hard to express myself. I also feel like I'll never meet someone I can share my sensitivity with, and this is something I know I'll need to have if I ever want to be happy in a relationship.

What aspects are responsible for this?

Like, I'm more open on here because no one I know is on here and I don't think I'd be able to gain any relationships on here.

Who should I look for if I want someone to be able to deal with my sensitivity? My mom can't even deal with my sensitivity.

Also, I'm not very good at dealing with other people's sensitivity and watching someone cry makes me feel very uncomfortable. Like, I'm really bad at it.

You need a Cancer guy!

Anyway, the 12th house represents the 'hidden', the private, the mysterious, etc.. If a planet is in the 12th, it is not expressed properly. People with this placement are very sensitive usually (12th house is Pisces and Neptune territory- Very sensitive!). They keep their emotions hidden, and don't like to bother other people with their problems. My dad has Leo Moon in the 12th, and he's the same way. He feels 'bad' when he expresses his sensitivity.

This is especially true in your case because you have all those 6th house Aquarius (objective, detached) and Capricorn (cold, distant) planets in opposition to your poor Moon Your moon is isolated in your 12th house, so it gets ignored.

In addition, the 12th house represents compassion, as well (being Pisces/Neptune territory), so it makes sense that you are sensitive to the feelings of others. The 12th house is the house of undoing, the house of the collective. Unlike the 1st house which is all about the 'self', the 12th house is where the ego dissolves. Boundaries are unclear. Again, makes a lot of sense that you are sensitive to others.

I've got Moon in Cancer at 29 degrees too (in the 8th house, a water house as well), and it's quincunx my Venus in Sagittarius also at 29 degrees. My Sun sign is Capricorn. I've got the same issue with my own sensitivity... Sometimes I feel embarrassed and uncomfortable with my own intense emotional reaction to things. Aquarius and Capricorn are both 'unemotional' signs, so it makes sense that people with these Sun signs might feel a water Moon as 'too much' in the sensitivity department at times.

Also..... Quincunx aspects have to do with feeling like two parts of yourself don't mix well, and that there's an odd type of mismatch in your psychology. With my Sag Venus quincunx my Cancer Moon, sometimes my highly attuned emotional reactions to things make hard for me to just relax and socialize. It takes effort for me to navigate both the social and emotional sides of my nature. Not all Cancer Moons are ashamed of their sensitivity, but those who have quincunxes to their Moon may often feel this way, as their sensitivity doesn't fit how they feel they 'should' be in certain life areas.

swampys, I believe you've got Saturn at 29 Aqua quincunx your Moon in late Cancer. Your sense of duty and self-control wants you to be stoic and unemotional... But with your quincunx aspect, this is directly contradicted by your Moon in Cancer. These two sides of your psychology don't match, and this can lead to feeling awkward, like your sensitivity inappropriate somehow. Aquarius is naturally detached and logical, and so Cancer’s hyper sensitivity can feel very at odds with Aquarius planets.

It's not a hopeless problem though. The key word for quincunxes is 'Adjustment'. Throughout our life experiences people with quincunxes learn how to adjust and modify their behavior to fit various situations. We also often become quite expert on the different life-areas associated with our natal quincunxes. This is because we go thorough so many different types of experiences where we adjust our ways of doing things with regard to our quincunx placements. In the natural zodiac the two quincunx signs are Virgo and Scorpio (they quincunx Aries). Through repeated trial and error, people with quincunxes develop a sophisticated understanding of various practical processes (Virgo), and psychological issues (Scorpio). Quincunxes inspire people to look below the surface of what’s really going on so that they can understand what’s causing their inner discomfort or awkwardness. Then they set about investigating these issues and perfecting their method of response to them…. Quincunx aspects work like a combo of Virgo and Scorpio in this way. It’s interesting to note that quincunxes are often associated with health issues that need to be adjusted, and weird psychological tension (like awkward sexual attraction, or dealing with unwanted resentment to or from others). Quincunx people like to figure all this type of stuff out so that they can deal with it better next time. We constantly seek to understand and improve ourselves, and are talented at investigation and solving mysteries. So even though quincunxes can suck when they make us feel uncomfortable, they are also like a gift… They allow us to develop true depth of understanding, and real talent.

When I say quincunxes are like an uncomfortable mismatch, think of it like this… A clown cracking jokes wouldn’t fit in right at a funeral, and turning up at a wedding dressed in black and looking all depressed also seems inappropriate…. Same thing with bursting into tears during a job interview, or showing up to eat dinner at a fast food restaurant dressed like your going to the prom. Quincunxes have a tendency to make us feel like parts of our psychology are inappropriate and therefore kind of embarrassing. Shame and awkwardness can be common problems with quincunxes, especially when very young. People with quincunxes to the Moon may actually feel like their emotions are inappropriate or ‘wrong’. Part of our lesson in life is to learn how to relax, and also how modify our responses to fit different situations. Having a healthy sense of humor can really help with quincunxes too! I've previously heard that quincunxes are sometimes associated with humor... And this makes sense. Humor is often about stupid awkward situations that we go through in life, and pushing things together that don't match... Like a bearded old man wearing a ballerina’s tutu! When we see such things, it's often our first instinct to laugh. Of course, after a difficult incident has just occurred it's hard to laugh about it at first. But more often then not, quincunx people benefit from developing a naturally humorous outlook over time... Working hard on investigating our problems is good, but sometimes we also just need to relax and laugh about the absurdity of life... To let ourselves just 'be', and not be so tense and wound up.

And another thing, people with planets in quincunx signs in their charts often have interesting variety in their personalities. The sensitivity, and nesting tendencies of a Cancer Moon makes up for the detachment of Aquarius planets, and the wide ranging explorations of Sagittarius planets. Signs in Quincunx make up for what the other lacks, to create a more balanced psychology, that has more depth to it. Semi-sextiles (next-door neighbor signs) have a similar effect. That’s my personal opinion anyway. LOL!

You know I've been thinking a lot about this lately.

I have a 12th house moon in Taurus which I think effects me. I am very sensitive as well and I find it reallllly hard to discuss my feelings. I didn't realize this until recently because people think I'm really easy breezy because I can tell jokes, LOL. (That Gemini rising fools everyone!). But really, if there was a way to not talk and just write everything I wanted to say down, I'd just do that. All of this surprises people because I am always chatting it up, but sometimes that is just hard. LOL.

Awww you're so cute!!! <3 What's your sign swampy? Are you a water sign? I saw your picture on the "Eyes and astrology" thread and you look like a fish or a crab. <3 My sun sign is in the 12th house too so I know how you feel. I think it's your moon because it's in the 12th house. Don't ever be ashamed of your sensitivity. There's no reason to be. People are different from each other. I can relate.

I have moon in Cancer in the 4th, opp. Merc. and Venus and it's sits practically on top of Castor.

As a child all someone had to do is look at me angry and I'd bawl.

My feelings get so hurt and I cry and then I'm embarrassed... At school if the teacher yelled at me I'd cry behind my book. I cry during movies, at weddings, funerals. One time I was entering the school where I work and the band was playing The Stars Spangled Banner and I got choacked up and teared.

I'd cry at work... I have nothing in my 12th house but Pisces is on the cusp.

It's a cross us sensitive people have to bear I guess... but there is always someone worse off. Picture this, my son is the same way and it's even tougher when you are a man and cry at the slightest provocation... He hates it.

My friend who is a psychoanalyst diagnosed me as an HSP (Highly Sensitive Person.)

I highly recommend reading some books on the subject It helped me so much to read others' experiences, and to see how others gave themselves "permission" to honor their sensitivity.

Best wishes from an 8H Pisces moon Rabbit.

12th house Pisces, and I'm not sensitive per se, more empathetic and that drags me into other people's problems all the time.

Hi Barbee,

I've read The Highly Sensitive Person by Elaine N. Aron PhD, and skimmed though The Highly Sensitive Person in Love by the same author. Other authors have written about it, but I haven't looked at their work yet.

Amazon search results for highly sensitive person

Edit: I just looked at the book review for Help Is on Its Way, from that list, about a highly sensitive girl growing up. It touches on her "paranormal" abilities, and reminds me that I should have mentioned that my sensitivity wasn't just about taking things too seriously. I could feel other people's emotions, too. It crossed over with ESP a bit.

this is so me
I find it so hard to express myself!!!
especially around people my own age as their saturn usually conjuncts my moon (not to mention my own saturn conjuncting my own moon lol obvious ..) im wondering what I neglected in a past life to have to deal with this aspect in this life (its not all bad though, I'm a great employee)

honestly people would never know the range of emotions I go through from just sitting quietly or doing something mundane because of my stoic face!!

i also have venus in the 12th

and progressed scorpio moon in the 12th

This was good, thanks.

Even though i can tap into refined sensitivity but i dont like to put this often on display.

I dont like people who are overly sensitive or passive agressive or too much clinginess in a negative way.

Too much sensitivity can make a person lethargic or fatalistic.

I have moon trine saturn and moon quincunx uranus.

Swampys, you need a Pisces moon!
I dated two Pisces moons, one was an Aries and another was a Gemini with his Mercury in Cancer. Both were great at being effortlessly understanding and affectionate especially when I was upset about something.

Hey,

sry for reviving this thread from the tomb but i like to add a few things which could probably help. My moon is also 12th house cancer plus pluto/scorpio/4th and jupiter/8th, mercury/9th in pisces.

I think the most important thing is that you have to understand your feelings. Imagine everybody has an emotional body, and nearly every other moonsign has a natural protection, from very thick to thin. You are naked, you feel everything.

The other guys can fight emotionally and will not feel much pain. The weapons are words, the body language, facial expressions. They don't understand much in this world, they are fighting against fog, the protection hinders their sight. You are seeing this world clearly and most of it is ugly as **** , thanks to the dumbing down of empathy through television and media. You understand this in your unconscience, but you have to get it in your conscience.

Also, I'm not very good at dealing with other people's sensitivity and watching someone cry makes me feel very uncomfortable. Like, I'm really bad at it.

In my experience the ugly truth: most people are actors, they don't feel, they act, you can smell that, they want to feed of from your emotional support like ticks. Sensitive People, like you, try to hide their feelings which make them look weak, noone shows them.

But here is your gift, you are the seeing one amongst the blind. You can dodge their attacks simply by understanding them. For instance many of such attacks come from people who get a boner when they can dominate another one, by hurting him/her, i think most of the time this all happens in the unconscience, they don't know why they do this. You have to know yourself, your weak and strong spots, you don't need to be ashamed of them, then you can't be hurt.

I'm a plutonian, so sorry for the next advice^^: You see/feel the Achilles-Heel of everyone, nobody can hurt another human being as much as you can. If i know someone who tries to hurt other ones, i strike in his/her weak spots very hard and they fall (=acting like a beaten animal and flee), and maybe he/she learns the lesson. Love your Emotions, because they see the truth (only in the real world, media knows how to manipulate them )

PS: Sry for my bad english.
