By itself, how does it affect our personalities? I get that Jupiter is about law, ethics, expansion, education, and luck but how does that manifest in our day to day lives and within ourselves?

I noticed that jupiter effects age groups.
if you remember in high school school how people different grades were all different and had their own little societies.

I remember I really disliked the underclassmen with jupiter scorpio. They really did make the school a crappy environment, they were really angsty has and had zero respect for anyone.

(no offensive to people with jupiter in scorpio)

I have jupiter in virgo, we were all really academic and to ironically the better grades you had the more popular you were. All the cooler kids were in ap classes.
Academic success= social acceptance

I was a year ahead so I was around people with jupiter in, leo school plays and performances were a HUGE deal!.
Personally I always thought the plays sucked and it was really boring so I never fit in with my grade but I got along with people who had the same jupiter as me.

Also I noticed were ever your jupiter placed you'll likely get along with people who have planets in that sign because the synastry is usually good.

One, tell me everything you know about Jupiter in Virgo! My friend has it and was inquiring. So far I told her she'll be successful in health matters or research. I also told her she'll probably benefit from doing things naturally and holistically (because of Virgo) vs. taking pills her doctor tries giving her (she was already doing this anyway, I just told her I thought that sounded according to Jupiter in Virgo).

Secondly, I have Jupiter in Gemini but it's in the 12th house and squares my Pisces MC. So which do I get along with better...Capricorns (because my MC is in the 10th house) or Pisces (because of the 12th house and MC influence?)

Where Jupiter is, is where you will most likely expand or overdo. It's in my 5th house and I over do playing games on computer. I overdo being maternal. But mostly it shows up when I over do fun things. I like to play the slots and definitely over do that which makes me broke too.

People with Jupiter aspecting strongly their Sun, Ascendent or Moon sometimes have a weight problem. (Unless other aspects change that.)

Jupiter in Virgo... what house? Friend of mine has it in the 6th and is a health NUT.. really overdoes it and is also a germ freak.
She is also a neat freak. If you go there for coffee as soon as you drink the last drop and set your cup down she has it in the dish pan washing it.

My son has Mercury conjunct Jupiter and worries himself sick. He over thinks every situation and then has an anxiety attack.

^^ I agree

I have Jupiter, my chart ruler, in my first house, conjunct Venus. I come off really enthusiastic, friendly, generous to others. My appearance is very Jupiterian.

My ex has Jupiter in Virgo the 6th house (expanding his house of work, health, routines). Dude has never had a problem finding a job. He's a mega hypochondriac, and worries a lot. He's a total meat head; totally addicted to working out.

Oh interesting, I forgot this!

She has it in the 9th house. She doesn't overdo education though... spirituality, yes! I think she gets extreme with it sometimes like she buys the candles and the herbs and believes readings to the point of them controlling what she thinks, etc. I do see her Jupiter is inconj. or makes a weird aspect to both Sun and Mercury, but is trine her Cappy NN.

How about travel and religion? Jupiter is the natural ruler of that house so it would be strong.

Well, my Jupiter is conjunct my Saturn which are opposite principles. Jupiter is optimism and expansion. Saturn is pesamistic and restraining. You'd think they'd cancel out, but transits always hit my Jupiter first, then Saturn, so I always feel overly hopeful only to be let down. I'm interested to know how others would feel this conjunction in a synastry, if it would cancel out or if the other person would feel one planet more than the other depending on orb. What do you think?

Jupiter in Libra approaching the ascendant from house 12 and it's supposed to be beneficial but a lot of times I feel like it makes me too sensitive and self conscious. I dislike excessive attention and with Jupiter I get so much of it. I feel so weird about it. I like tuning out. Mercury is conjunct by a little over two degrees. I love to write. Not much into talking because it causes my throat to hurt for some reason, but I absolutely love writing. I have mixed feelings about expressing myself. Throw Uranus into the mix because it's also conjunct all three, then Pluto is conjunct it, all from house 12. So you can say there's just too much energy in my life and I am at a loss at how to react to it. Usually it's by finding inner peace (Moon opposite Neptune/Venus trine Neptune.)

My Jupiter is in the 12th house in Gemini. It's hard for me to say how else it affects me other than I sporadically have good luck and my life has been pretty easy despite the emotional problems I have.

Same, here! It does help but it doesn't make life really perfect, like with material stuff. You know, lots of money and wealth. People tend to be more forgiving and compassionate.

You have it in the 12th too and they're like that? It's funny because I guess you're right.

If Jupiter overdoes whatever it touched, and it's in the same sign as my Mars (but I don't think they're conjunct by aspect) and those are BOTH in the 12th house - what are some of the possible things an individual could overdo?

It depends on what house Mars rules in your chart. Whatever it is, it is influenced by house 12 and Mars energy is distorted in this house so the planet cannot give it's all. It influences men, drive, ambition, determination, physical strength, enterprise, power, the ability to start a task on your own and sexuality. These areas can be affected by the 12th house distortions and will manifest strongest in the houses with Aries or Scorpio on the cusp in the chart, to a lesser degree Capricorn where it is exalted and, perhaps the signs where it is not well placed, Taurus and Libra. That's a lot of ground! You may find the Mars energy to be inconsistent, so you experience a feeling of loss related to the houses it rules. 12 house does not mean overdoing, exactly, but Jupiter does. It might impact the emotions through the Pisces/Neptune connection. I am too emotional, people say I wear my heart on my sleeve, cannot mask my emotions the way others can. This might have something to do with Jupiter in 12. I also notice a lot of weird things, like free things, that happen by accident. Like, at the store, the person ahead of me will not get all their stuff, some of it will end up in mine and I don't notice it until I get it home and find there's stuff in the sack I didn't buy. Also, at restaurants, workers get the order wrong or put extra food on the tray without charging, so I end up with extra stuff I did not order. I tend to end up with things I didn't ask for. Just luck.

I SO relate to how Jupiter affects you! Like the person ahead of me pays for my Starbucks order (and usually right when I'm skimp on money) or I get an unexpected check in the mail, I get my meal comped for some bizarre reason, etc.

Aries rules my 11th house and Libra rules my 5th house, Taurus my 12th, and Gemini my 1st. Capricorn rules my 8th and they definitely bring out strong feelings in me! I find when I get around a Capricorn/Scorpio person they bring out my determined nature, my competitiveness, and with those type of men - my sexual side, which is usually kept under wraps. I guess when you re-read through that that's all Mars related stuff, huh?

In 12th house, it could be kept under wraps. You could feel self conscious about it and uneasy expressing Mars energy. This house is all about inhibitions and hidden parts of you. Maybe sensing this Mars energy in these Mars ruled individuals brings out the concealed energy in you? It's the inconsistency theme with house 12 again. You could experience the same thing with Mars ruled Ascendant/Descendant, Moon, or someone with the planet prominent on an angle in their chart. Transits, too, affect the way you relate to Mars. 12th house is all about not so obvious way of expressing energy. Sometimes you have to search your life and really examine what happened to realize you just experienced the energy. It comes out in events and situations.

Jupiter in Cancer 3rd house

Overall all luck, between being born premature and more than a few near death experiences I'd consider myself lucky.

-Positively generous and optimistic. A Thirst for knowledge and languages (multi-lingual since age nine) conjunct Sun (self/ego)

-Negatively; over-spending or over-overindulgence sometimes then Saturn opposite Jupiter knocks me on my bum and I learn my lesson.
