Has anyone else had this experience? I'm noticing all kinds of reciprocity stuff in synastry with someone that I've become obsessed with (and, no, pluto isn't involved) though at a first glance it would seem like an impossible relationship. The fact that we don't know each other and are unlikely to meet doesn't help the obsession. The synastry doesn't look very good and yet I WANT HIM ANYWAY!IP: Logged |

just a guess, but if synastry is bad w/someone and we still obsess about them, then wouldn't that be because of something in our own natal chart?? IP: Logged |

whats about draco-draco/draco-natal comparisions? asteroids? i agree with starmoon in that there might be something in your own chart that is feeding your "obsessions" 
ps: where do his planets fall in your chart? perhaps you can post your chart and your synastry with him. give us something juicy  IP: Logged |

most asteroids aren't stronger than planets and nodes. asteroids would serve to support and define aspects already shared. But, you may look to your Eros and Psyche, and Juno. More importantly would be finding out if you have nodal contacts - South node contacts can feed this feeling - have you checked those?
And not just North and South but Vertex nodes. Also have you checked house layout - you are saying there are "bad aspects" but what about house placements and layout... it's not just aspects it's positioning. Then there are alternative charts - like mentioned above - you can try draconic - and look at progression comparisons. But, I'm siding with starmoon -you said you do not know each other... that to me very much sounds like a personal natal influence in itself. Neptune-Lunar/Neptune-Venus aspects in your chart or Pluto-Mars/Pluto-Venus??? now... if you already knew each other, and had something to work with we could look at composite - but not knowing... that throws that right out the window. lol I'd check nodes and your own chart... but, fate is often connected to the nodes - start with them... Personally I wouldn't use draconic if I didn't really know someone... I feel they are about as necessary for this circumstance as a composite would be... and even if there is no strong but soft aspect and tight positive aspects at that... don't neglect house layout. ^^; ~hopefully, you'll find what you seek. His natal placements may hit a major midpoint(S) in your chart such as your Sun/Moon midpoint, Venus/Pluto, Venus/Mars, Moon/Venus,Mars/Pluto,Venus/Neptune, Venus/IC, VENUS/South Node etc.IP: Logged |

In part! I've got a mars/venus square and so does he. In fact, my mars is square his mars, my venus is square his venus, and we have a DOUBLE venus/mars opposition. But because I've got Libra rising, the oppositions also have a bit of a "conjunction feel" to them. My 7th house ruler is Mars in CANCER in the 9th house and his Aries MOON is in my 7th house. I have to guess at his ascendant (Leo), but if I'm right, his moon is in his 9th house. Oh, yah, it DEFINATELY has something to do with my chart, but it's in the synastry, too. Don't rush into anything. Sometimes when the infatuation fades you will see if he is right for you or not. Also, did you get his time of birth correct? Mom's sometimes get it wrong. My husband's mom said he was born at midnight and he was born early in the morning... like 4 a.m. It was his sister that was born at midnight. Can you have him send for his birth certificate?

Oh, don't I wish I could! Nope. He's someone I saw perform live and also watched/read interviews. I managed to get birthdate and place pieced together from internet sources. Even without the birth time, I know his jupiter is in my 8th house, his moon is in my 7th, his sun is in my 4th on my nadir conjunct both Jupiter/Saturn. We have a DOUBLE venus/mars opposition, with our marses square and my venus square his venus/mercury conjunction looks like a Grand Cross. We also have a DOUBLE mars/saturn trine. I think there's plenty there to understand why I'm so infatuated! Sigh. IP: Logged |

I can imagine how heartbreaking, you meet someone or talk to them, you think you have great chemistry, get their birth date, compare charts, composite, and discover the aspects are all bad and the planets are not in houses that spell "g-r-e-a-t r-e-a-l-a-t-i-o-n-s-h-i-p" There might be a couple of good ones between the outer planets or asteroids to the sun or something similar but you don't think it's enough to meet the qualifications for good synastry. So what do you do? I would just continue on and see what happens. I would not let the chart determine it for me if I would continue to date this person, especially if I really liked them. If I was feeling so-so about it, the chart would, most likely, make me feel even more so-so than before though, lol, because I am the type that vacillates about stuff like this and tend to be indecisive. I mean, it would need to be someone extra super extraordinary for me to be in it 100% cannot live without them mentality. I could use the chart or charts, to help me figure out potential problems that might occur in our relationship so I can meet them head on and maybe do something to keep them from eroding the relationship. I know how you feel...I clicked really well with a guy I just met. Everything was great at first...but in the end it bombed! We had Venus square saturn & venus opposite pluto in synastry exact 0 degrees. On top of that we had moon square sun 0 degrees again. His sun was exactly conjunct my south node. He wanted more but I could tell that things were heading for disaster before we even started...I rejected him, but I still want him in a way. In the end he couldn't stay friends with me. Actually I've read in multiple places in the past that soulmate connections are really tranquil and nice, and that twinsoul relationships are usually chaotic, and joking comments about how twinsouls try to kill each other in one way or another, and there's usually a lot of conflict and drama in the relationship and that it's usually painful. I can relate to the synastry and composite not looking so great but still wanting the guy anyway. Now that I'm learning about it, I'm just like this would never work and would probably end up really platonic and yet I want him anyway. The only difference is I know the person... IP: Logged |

personally, even if my charts didnt mix with a person i really liked, i would still go for them anyways. everything is a learning experience. plus, i believe as people our choices have more effect on us than anything else. ------------------
