I'm nearly devoid of air myself and use to struggle quite a bit with most Air folks... and it doesn't help that most of my family is either air or fire... Aqua and Libra are the most common signs for the last 3 generations... Aries and Cancer would follow. lol - I also married into a family with the same pattern - air and water though... haha

Anyway, it took time... but, turns out progression probably had the biggest role in the sudden understanding, something that clicked... - I enjoy conversing with my Airy friends and brethren even more now than ever~

Sun - Moon - Asc - progressed Air trinity Aqua - Gem - Libra

Moon will be in Cancer soon enough - and then Pisces Sun - which I will dread because of the aspects it makes in comparison to natal me! ^^; -squares du jour-

If you have a sense of your progressions,if you have progressed substantially - and have more air in your chart - you may find you have or will come to have more understanding of the people with that element... especially when/if you are lacking it, like I was.

Every sign has something they can teach you - something to learn from... hopefully, when you find more evolved types of those to share experiences with - you can find something there that even you can like! ^^

Gemini was the hardest air sign for me to understand - Aquarius came naturally - probably because my progression slipped into Aqua the earliest. ^^; Libra I was and am so familiar with (family)- that as my asc node approached it, you could really feel the ticking away of everything I had misjudged them for... as it progressed - for me, the feeling of Libra closing into my 1st house quadrant - was very strong. Going from a Taurus Moon to a Gemini Moon - brought the most lessons though... I think there are no two signs more different (at least with moon) than Gemini and Taurus! haha

But, that was my experience so far. ^^;

Not all air signers are flakey, and tons of them have far more spirit and intelligence than they let on when they are being wacky, or pretty, or "detached" lol

I like to think they "hide" most of their gifts right out in the open - and then they wonder, (this is my thinking) why it is others cannot see it. XD (Whereas a water will bury them deep, and think you will never find it)~ ^^; =) Fire proudly displays their gifts, and wonders if you are seeing it (clearly enough!) - Earth scatter their gifts just to make the task of discovering them all the more tedious so to throw people off from finding them!~ haha

As a Scorpio, my best friends through high school were all Gemini, Aquarius and Libras !! And they were the ones to approach me.

They are not flakey, they just talk to everyone and make so many friends. Unless you are one of their top friends, you will feel like they don't really care about you.

Later on in uni, for some reason my best friends were all Earth signs I have to admit I like Earth signs better. I love them.

But we do feel emotion, and we can sympathize with others (and can perhaps be helpful in ways water-dominant people wouldn't think to be, like when I saw a nail sticking out at a gazebo that could hurt someone and came back with a hammer to nail it down whereas a water-dominant person probably wouldn't have noticed it until someone was crying over it). I've always told those who try to separate emotion from logic like a Vulcan that it's not reasonable, our feelings and peace of mind matter and are important to happiness, and to ignore them is to ignore an important part of life.

I can see how Airy people can be frustrating for Watery folks and vice versa, because they literally come from different perspectives.

PixieJane basically nailed it.
Water likes to wallow in emotion/feelings while Air can recognise an emotion, express it (or not) and move on.

Also, Air signs are by definition the humanitarian signs. In that sense, they can be more "helpful" than Water signs or any other sign.. Water is way too self-centered/overemotional to actually "be there" for someone in a practical, helpful way (generalising here, of course they can make great listeners and nurturers, too).

Actually, getting to know Air signs (and all the other signs from different elements) can be very benefical because it brings a new perspective on things. We can learn a lot from each other, and that's the beauty of it.

venus/moon gemini

my moon and venus deff have a hard time with my cancer sun/merc/and mars in fact i never really know myself.

for some one is is really emotional inside its hard to communicate that outside and then my emotional venting has a sense of burden and confinement.

i notice my sun wants peace security and family and my emotions want hectic /multiple mental stimulation going on at once.

and i dont care about other peoples feelings not that i am cold its just i have enough of my own and when it comes to people i wanna socialize and not have to think about my emotions.

I haven't really had much experience with Libra women, so I dont really know, but my dearest friend is a Gemini and I have also a really close Aqua friend.

I'm getting tired of reading again and again about how Air signs have no feeling etc. As someone mentioned above, we do have feelings but we can go through them, and decide whether or not we wanto express them. So far my dearest friends are all either Air or Fire signs, so I think it's simply a myth that Air signs don't care about others or their feelings.

However I'm not a typical Air Sign, my Sun Sign places third in the Pullen thing, first is Capricorn and then Scorpio. Pluto affects my Sun,Moon and Venus with tight orbs so this probably has its effect.

At the end of the day though, i do hate trends and I will steer clear of them, that's one of the most accurate things I've read about Aquarius as it relates to me

I walk up to people sometimes and talk to them, and everyone seems scared of me, though I'm not sure that's an Aqua thing, they can tell I'm different though.

I always hear how everyone is different and unique, and sadly today I havent noticed it, most people I see are following one another so of course I wouldn't fit in.
