Every time I am privileged to do a chart, I learn new things. I stretch myself as I do not when not doing professional charts. In my last professional chart, three new things came up for me. One was the asteroid Circe, which is completely fascinating as she can beguile men as a temptress. The other was the vertex and the anti-vertex and fate. This article will be a work in progress, as I research this subject.

I can start of by saying that the Vertex is a fated point, unlike any other point in the chart. I made the mistake of treating it like the Ascendant and I was 100% wrong. The vertex shows what fate will bring you, both by what is in your OWN natal and by looking at your synastry with key people in your life. I already knew about the synastry aspect of the vertex. I have seen it played out. For example, if one person is a spiritual messenger to another, the spiritual messengers Neptune will be an exact conjunction to the other person’s Vertex. I have seen this in my own life. Find your Vertex, which you can in Astro.com. Then, start checking synastries and see what you bring to people and they to you.

The Anti-vertex point in your own chart shows more of YOUR contribution to your fate. This is what makes the Anti-vertex more like your ASC than the vertex. The Anti-vertex is YOUR contribution to fate. The vertex is other’s contribution to your fate.

Tried to have a look for you, but I'm afraid it's way to advanced for me (I also had to google Vertex & search on the astro.com site for quite a long time, lol).

So I hope it can be of some use.
For synastry I looked at a 'fated' feel connection. My Circe was in his 7th house (which was also his sun sign).

My Vertex in his 12th house and his Vertex in my first house.
If this totally wasn't what you were looking for, sorry. I can also compare with some of my best friends charts if you can tell me what I should look for and what info would be helpful.

In my eyes, the ASC/DSC axis are those traits within the physical arena - and the Vertex/Antivertex is our spiritual arena.

The spiritual disposition of a natal (vertex), and what compliments them spiritually, what they draw in, and seek, or otherwise need (antivertex)

The most powerful synastry experience I had has his Vertex axis cnj my S-N node axis (His Vertex my 4th house cnj my Venus-South Node, and Antivertex 10th house cnj Vesta-North Node) His North Node while not conjunct was in the same house as my Antivertex (and vs/vs with that)

Since vertex axis is not given a set position in the houses, (no ruler sign or planet by traditional order), like Asc-Dsc has with Aries-Mars and Libra-Venus 1st - 7th, the house position makes them all the more important. To me, they can be viewed like "the windows to the soul" in a sense. So when you click with a person - their personality meshes with yours, that would come down to ASC/DSC - but those times that you click with a person who may not have the same physical draw - there could be a natural spiritual camaraderie- the meeting of like spirits instead of like minds...

I find that most of my closest friends, relatives, and acquaintances, as well as more than half of my past relationships shared some contact directly to this axis. My husband has his Mars there. My Karma is cnj his Antivertex (his axis is on his ASC/DSC axis). our 1st houses/7th houses...

My vertex cnj my son's DSC node - My son's Vertex cnj my South Node -

My little brother's vertex is cnj my ASC node - My vertex is cnj his Venus - and North Node wide... My antivertex is cnj his Moon~ lol

and the list goes on...

the alternating nodal contact in my family especially - well... it's kinda' creepy, actually...

I have Vertex node contacts with several residents of the board here.. ^^;

now that... that I think is kinda' cool! lol

Uranus is conjunct Venus-South Node in 4th house Sagittarius.
