Well, with Venus in my 9th I'm a strong Christian person. Despite that, I think religion is wrong when they include Astrology in with occult and say it's the work of Satan. I don't think anything about astrology is occult.. it is a science.I always think of it as God's computer, a way to give each person a distinctive personality and looks. Who created the heavens and the stars? God, NOT the devil. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. IP: Logged |

Astrology is almost a religion to me. Each sign is a god. We're spawns of the 12 signs. Each sign has a story and how they came to be.I plan to incorporate Astrology within my household and family once I get to that point. But, of course. I still believe in own my religion. I do believe that there is one creator and one creator only. God. I just think we're never going to prove or disapprove anything too. ------------------ Rising: Virgo Sun: _____ Moon: _____ IP: Logged |

Occult means something which is hidden.Just because something is hidden doesn’t mean it is bad.Majority of the people have just been brainwashed by those in power into believing that astrology is bad.IP: Logged |

Lack of knowledge is the thing that brings Astrology down, I mean they just base their judgement on sun signs and daily newspaper horoscopes when really when all of us started to learn astrology the first lesson we were taught that daily horoscopes are nothing and that sun signs are just the tip of a very large iceberg. If they actually learnt about it in more detail then they'd be surprised and that goes for most things that society still looks down on like homosexuality for example.I think I'd feel uncomfortable calling Astrology a science, really there is an element of science but it's much more mystical than dull old boring science. I define astrology as the occult as it deals with hidden forces, not to be confused with inherently evil (technically speaking, guardian angels would be as much occult as fallen ones, indeed there's an occult school that focuses on Christian angels I believe called Enochian magic). And I don't consider it science as it's metaphysical (dreams & astral) rather than physical, and is more poetic & metaphoric than logical in the standard sense. (Still, I find astrology more accurate and dependable than many soft sciences like economics, sociology, even psychology.)IP: Logged |

What did God NOT create? And if God created it all then is it automatically ok the way astrology is? If not, what's the difference between the heaven and stars and whatever it is that's not ok?

I see astrology as a tool and as a language. Everyone uses it a little bit differently and also expresses and defines it to suit their worldview. I think of it like psychology in the sense that there are theories and a set of rules but those boundaries can blur and not all astrologers will see things exactly the same way - same thing with psychologists. Or any of the "-ologies" really. It's like anything in life - it it works for you and feels right then use it IP: Logged |

It's an experimental science, simply. It has nothing to do with religion, but i guess now a days people make anything a religion. Please don't ruin it though for us non religious people, by making others think that it is a religion.IP: Logged |

I look at Astrology as a Matrix of Simultaneous Algebraic Equations with N Variables, each defining a probabilistic psychological behavior. N = Number Planets in the System used. The above definition is a guaranteed orgasm killer. IP: Logged |

Not trying to make it a religion... far from it. I'm just validating it for people who do believe in a God that it's OK to study and use it. Like I mentioned before I was a very good astrologer 25 yrs ago. I gave it all up when a minister told me I was doing the work of the devil. He ordered me to ditch hundreds of dollars worth of materials. I was young and naiive. Now I'm reconsidering the matter and have come to the conclusion that religion is wrong about Astrology... and I feel that I can do both, believe in God and do astrology. I have Venus in the 9th but it is opp my Moon.. pulling me both ways. I finally want to win the tug of war. IP: Logged |

SUPER agree! I'm a Christian too, and I think astrology is not the work of the devil. I think that it's just like the other sciences, in which we are meant to discover the messages that God has intricately hidden everywhere around us; in the stars, planets and in the universe.
I think that the "occult" is only evil when used for evil purposes. The occult literally means "hidden". I just am wondering why they automatically associate the "hidden" as evil.

I totally agree with this. I am a Christian- I have neptune ruling my 9th house. I have always been somewhat fascinated by astrology all my life, but really didn't start to study it heavily until the last year. I also believe that negative views of astrology are due to lack of knowledge about it and that it is a roadmap from God helping us along our soul's journey. I have a hard time with the incarnations and past lifetimes stuff but I do believe in fate, soul mates, and that all things happen for a reason...astrology is a tool to help us better understand ourselves and our life's journey.

Religion can be way too dogmatic for my taste. I don't follow any religion except worshiping Neptune since it has a strong affliction in my chart. I am not ready to call astrology a science. I like anticipating transits because they allow me to witness various events, connecting them to the transits to see what comes up where. So far, I have not kept a journal. Perhaps I should? That was a beautiful descript, Pix! I think that is what I love most. Astrology is fluid. IP: Logged |
