What exactly is a progressed chart? Like, how long are your progressed chart aspects useful?Which is better to look at for a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly horoscope? I noticed that Venus squares Pluto in my progressed chart and I just noticed that a few days ago and it has not yet changed. I currently have 14 squares in my progressed chart, and I don't like that. And if progressed charts last a long time... wow. Like, I already had ten in my natal! I tend to read the progressed chart because it's easier to read. Like, I don't know how to find transits. If I knew how to read my transits by reading my chart I would. I check my horoscope on astro.com and I know in the mundane section they show transits, but I think I'd have more than that and I'd like to know all of them. For me there's just a lack of access to information and it feels stifling. IP: Logged |

I wish I knew more about it! I had a look at my progressions after reading your post. It confuses me a bit because some of the chart is composed of transits, while there's a list of progressions, including the ascendant but it's not every planet. I found the chart at astro.com. It's important to see what houses the progressions are in and look at which sign occupies your ascending degree. This will tell you where you are focusing energy right now and how you are approaching the world at this time through your ascendant. At least that's what I gather. Maybe someone else knows something I don't? Oooh and i just clicked on the "progressed chart" by itself and figured out why my life is so weird... Neptune has progressed into first house and has been there Lord only knows how long (this is the first time I looked at the progressed chart by itself) and soooo many planets are in house 11, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 to be exact!!! 5 planets in house 11 now! Sun is in house 12. OMG sun will be in 12 for the rest of my life (or will it??? I can't tell...)and Neptune will stay in house 1 and if, for some reason, I am not reading this right, it will be in house 12 eventually, crossing the ascendant!!! No wonder my life is so funky! This explains much more than just the natal chart alone. Triple doses of Neptune through and through. Just about everything is in Libra as well. Thanks for posting about this, Swampy! I will study it a bit more. Interesting stuff and another area to think about! IP: Logged |

I'm no Progressed Chart expert but I love it. There are many different progressed charts, the most popular is the Secondary Progressed chart - this is what most people are referring to when they say Progressed Chart. There is also a Solar Arc and Tertiary Progressed charts. The Secondary Progressed Chart/Progressed Chart is your natal chart progressed or counted forward a number of days equal to your current age, with one year of life substituted for one day in the ephemeris. The theory goes that configurations in the days and months after birth will affect your life once/when your age catches up to those dates. quote: Like, how long are your progressed chart aspects useful?
Until they become exact. quote: Like, I don't know how to find transits. If I knew how to read my transits by reading my chart I would.
