Of all the planets Jupiter is the one planet that escapes my understanding.I know the planet is related to luck and success. But the details about it online are rather murky. What exactly it means by luck? Also is there more to Jupiter than this? I have a Jupiter in Virgo in Tenth House. I really am trying to understand this planet but its really complicated. IP: Logged |

Key words: Positive, optimism, Overdoing, Excess. I have it in my 5th. My children were healthy, easy to raise... no big problems. I am fairly lucky. I love games. I had many love affairs. I love to have fun!
I didn't (thankfully) have a lot of kids because Saturn exact quincunx. This aspect also allows me to win but never enough to retire.  Saturn also makes me feel guilt in overdoing 5th house things. I also over-mother my kids. IP: Logged |

Hmmm...where's Xiiro when you need him! Jupiter sort of eludes me too. I know what someone with a strong Jupiter would be like, and I know what affect Jupiter can have on other planets...but simply asking what a person with Jupiter in x sign would be like, I can't answer.  IP: Logged |

Jupiter isn't only about luck or success. Jupiter represents spiritual growth, generosity, education, journeys and prosperity. In the virgo (ruled by mercury) Jupiter is in detriment and one is constantly in search for something more tangible i.e. instead of having good faith in something you need something that you can physically touch, see, taste, etc. Jupiter in Virgo makes you more analytic towards the things other people place good faith in you constantly challenge it those definitions,you may feel as if no one knows the correct answers to your questions, your self-critical about developing your own belief system. You feel as if you have a civic duty to find the "higher answers".Your success would be measured by finding a purpose in life that leads to greater personal growth. Jupiter in the 10th house usually denotes high honor and prosperity in your life that doesn't mean it will be immediate. But those results can be negated or delayed with afflicted aspects to other planets. Financial success can be seen with Jupiter/Pluto &/or Saturn and Jupiter/Sun &/or Venus/Mars and midpoints. Madonna and Michael Jackson both have/had the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint at the Aries Point of 0 degrees Libra. When a midpoint touches your Sun, Moon, or Asc your more likely to experience success.

Ahhhh, I see what you mean. It's not as easy to describe as say, Mars or Moon. Figuring how it affects a house is easier than how it affects a sign. I have no idea how my Jupiter being in Leo affects me either. IP: Logged |
