'Cause at one point, the ancients couldn't see past S-turn. Sooooooo they developed a nice little system with what they had, where most planets carried double the weight. Hell, they even thought the earth was the centre of the universe, so you know their system is a little messed up.  IP: Logged |

Traditional ruler-ships
The Sun - Leo exalted in aries
The Moon- Cancer exalted in Taurus
Mercury- Gemini & Virgo exalted in Virgo
Venus- Taurus & Libra exalted in Pisces
Mars- Aries & Scorpio exalted in Capricorn
Jupiter- Sagittarius & Pisces, exalted in Cancer
Uranus- Aquarius
Neptune- Pisces
Saturn- Capricorn & Aquarius but exalted in Libra
Pluto- ScorpioUranus, Neptune, and Pluto were the last planets add to the whole astrological scene. This is why they have one sign ruling their planet. IP: Logged |

Venus 11 and MC 12 Capricorn. Both of them are Opp Moon 7-8 deg. Quincunx Mars in Gemini 2 - 3 deg. and quincunx Pluto in Leo by 5 deg. I'm not homely... The Ancients didn't mess up on the astrological system. It's quite elegant and it's the backbone of Western astrology. To understand the signs and the way the planets work and how they manifest though the signs is to take into consideration of the various elemental characteristics of those planets.Leo- Sun
Cancer- Moon
Gemini/Virgo- Mercury
Taurus/Libra- Venus
Aries/Scorpio- Mars
Sagittarius/Pisces- Jupiter
Capricorn/Aquarius- Saturn You're not going to learn Ancient astrology through a forum of people spreading around misinformation and ill-informed themselves to be teachers on the basics of astrology. The only thing is to read and figure out for yourself. I would suggest looking up Bob Marks astrology because he writes very simplified but accurate descriptions. http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/TOClessons.htm Get out of print astrology books at used bookstores.
