What in someone's chart would give them this attitude towards everyone? Like they always know what's best.. and they want to make decisions *for* others - as though they were the other person's parent or guardian...

I am asking about this ^^ outside the typical parent-child relationship. It's very common for a parent to behave this way towards a child.

I know this from experience.

Mom (Cancer Sun, Cap Moon,Rising)

She made it very clear that she was the parent, not your friend and she knew best (even though she ddint) in any given situation.

It was her way or the highway.

not motherly or fatherly. just....parently.....lol

Agreeing with the Cancer/Cap axis thing.

I can recognize it in myself as a Cancer ascendant/Cap sun. I wouldn't force anyone to do something though, just make suggestions.

My father definitely thinks he knows better. He preaches and criticises everyone to the point it's arrogant. Can't stand this man Leo Sun & Mercury and probably an Aqua moon.

I am starting to just leave people to their own devices, even though deep down I think I know what's right, I realize it's only right to me.

I used to always preach and yell if people weren't listening to me, I always thought I knew best.

I can tell you right now that Virgos do believe they're helping the world and you lol.

but, that's only the oblivious and naive ones from my experience.

Once a Virgo has been on the other side outside of the ''pure and right'' world, they will never judge another person the same again.
