I've had a hard time with this. I've read it about balancing your professional life with your home life. I graduated from college and went on to a successful business career. I met my husband and we decided to follow his career, while I stayed home and raised the family. I have done this for he past 7 years, and feel quite lost without my career and independence, but I also have venus in the 12th which equates love with sacrifice, so I gave up a lot because that's the way I show love...I take care of other's needs without nurturing my own.

2 Things I have learned and maybe nothing to do with your situation or circumstances.
1) As much as I hate give and take in relationship, I hope you do not get bitter about giving and just giving. I mean "Do things as much as you enjoy" We all want to feel needed and thus we do things but if it gets to a point where you can't then you shouldn't. It is ok to learn limitations of ours and tell other people as well. For me most difficult thing was to tell well I can't,infact I myself didn't know I can't do certain things. When you make yourself clear or say NO to people at least they realize that they have to do something else.

2) I was this solid finance rock for my family.I took a very long time out of my career for self discovery and invest in myself. Just experimenting and learning lots so that I can be for the family as well as be productive. I would be disappointed if I was called housewife but I can see for future kids I might do that as well. I am going through that transition phrase. I didn't wanted my profession to define who I am at the same time. I feel sometimes some people are very attached to their profession. There is a great joy in achieving your goal and giving value to society. I think not acknowledging value of housewife is very unjust and just because there is no taxable income doesn't mean it isn't a value. Come to think about it there would be no society without reproduction time... ha ha !

On a different note if you still feel itch of being interdependent, Considering how many work from home stuff is available it isn't very difficult to get started from home I suppose.Do it for you though not what society thinks or expects.Good Luck!

I wouldn't spoil it for you but I have realized after watching it is that positive Neptune involved with arts, literature is quiet creative as well and it's creation has lots of effect on the present and future world. Ofcourse with little bit of Saturn's help.

My Nodes are actually in 4 houses instead of 2.. Technically on the 12th/6th axis but like a few seconds away from my 1st/7th axis.
So I can relate to both having the South Node in the 12th and in the 1st.

Doesn't help that they're on the Gemini/Sag axis, either. I tend to get overwhelmed with information, always wanting to gather more and more to just "know" things and "understand" things, people, myself. But it's not serving me well.. I need to "feel" things out instead of thinking them out. Sag = intuition, faith. No more "logical" appproach, no more self-centeredness, ego and anxiety; mental over-stimulation is my biggest enemy.

So basically what I intend to do is work more on 6th house stuff (especially since I have a stellium there), and at the same time focus on relating more, not just being concerned about myself in a relationship. And of course being more positive, outspoken, and find my own, inner "truth" to live by.

~ SAG NN 6th/7th

Thanks for sharing.
To have a positive approach is very important. I know someone like that and I can understand. It is for me going in opposite direction. I guess being interested in different cultures, philosophy, travel and foreign things.

For me I have traveled quiet a lot already and except few more places I feel I am happy with work I have done in my Sag House. It is so different for me as I do have mostly optimistic approach but just have to be bit more logical.

I know many people collect stuff. I have started gathering information and it is lots.
Very Gemini NN. I am also realizing to use the knowledge and also keep learning.

I would really like more experience from Gemini NN as well. More activities to do with Gemini.

I wonder whether by doing more things like your North Node sign would make you come closer to your North Node.Does that make sense?

Hi I am still finding nodal stuff confusing, and believe that the true fabric of the NN fulfillment is as individual as the person. The basic NN definitions apply but true clarity comes with the person's own particular rulerships and aspects to other planets within the chart.

My NN is in Taurus but in the 4th, and my SN is therefore in Scorpio in the 10th conjunct Neptune and Part of Fortune.

I have had a bit of an earth mother thing that I wanted to fulfill, and have at times had a great and thriving organic garden as well as ambitions for having a kind of self sufficiency complete with animals, and stores of herbs, fruits and vegetables. But I am a Virgo Sun and Virgo Venus is ruling the NN, so I'm earthy anyway.

Saturn is in Pisces in my 2nd house conjunct Chiron so I feel many of my productive efforts somehow get restricted, and I am often up against setbacks or what feels like a back hand inflicted in almost everything. Then with a change of perspective, I will find there was gold in every moment. I also have a personality that keeps me on the fringe or in a servile position. My ambitions seem to come to nothing, except for those that greater entrench me into servitude and humility.

I seem to have a magnetic effect on others and will often attract interest from the opposite sex and opposition from other women.

Basically, I feel I would like to fulfill 'good living' but there is some kind of situation that I don't quite get about it and I think it has to do with an acceptance of my 'lot' in life - so that the emphasis is on living in simple beauty. I tend to have to have a narrow margin for what I allow to be close to me - so there is a sense of maintaining personal security and not being dependent on others.

Elizabeth Spring on her website talks about Taurus NN as choosing to find the 'sacred in the commonplace' and this resonates with me. So seeing the true nature of things, and finding and appreciating the natural state of things. I think by doing this I will appreciate the true nature of myself more and dissolve attachment to societal concepts (Neptune in 10th conjunct SN).

I have found an urge to become financially independent and I don't like owing anyone anything. With the NN in the 4th, my values and resources are centred within my home or personal sphere, and I own my own home.I like seiving the valuable traditions and contributing to a sense of wholeness in nature and in the stream of life.
