Great question! Maybe an aspect between Mercury and Venus? I think Neptune rules musicians (NepTUNE -- just a coincidence?), but so many things go in to singing well, rhythm, pitch, self-confidence, emotions. There are probably LOTS of possibilities that could be helpful, but I doubt that anything could guarantee it. I'd love to hear what others have to say about this topic!

Moon in Taurus is frequently mentioned when talking about singing and nice speaking voices. Christina Aguilera has this placement. Also Elton John does too!

Taurean (Solar, Lunar, Venus Taureans), and Solar, Lunar, Venusian and Neptunian placements and combinations.

Where fame is concerned - there's usually something in the 5th or directing those aspects/energies into Leo.

We had a topic awhile back about this, I'd looked over the charts of male and female singers universally recognized for their vocal prowess and tried to find any common links... if I have the time I'll link it here. But, Taurus and Leo (or at least a good balance in Venus-Nept and Solar/Lunar bodies/placements) were highlighted in nearly all of the charts I'd researched.

Historically the Sun/Moon/Venus have always been associated with song, Neptune is a stronger vibration of Venus.

Having a good aspect to these by Saturn (control/pitch), Mercury (eloquence), and Jupiter (range), were also fairly common, if memory serves.
--------------------

Sometimes though, singing is a talent, sometimes it is a skill. I think talent is easier to find than skill. Skill possibly shows through progression. Sometimes the only major link was house placement comparison to traditional rulers being favourable and 5/10th or Leo placement (fame indicators, but no notable talent indicators). Q/bQ usually show areas of potential talent too. I think a sextile may show areas that can become skills with a little effort.

Either way - Taurus and Venus - common denominator; perhaps the most significant, imho.
---
for me...
I have Moon in Taurus opp Saturn in Scorpio h3. Moon bQ my stellium planets in 4th house Sagittarius/Capricorn - Jupiter-Mercury-Neptune

I could do well with coaching, but age/progression has certainly made it better! lol ~regardless of how well I do, I love to sing! ^^; *shameonme* 5th house Sun, 12h Leo.

You can warm up with a keyboard and it trains your voice and helps you with pitch. Have you ever tried that? Do you know any scales? You can use C scale, maybe, to warm up. I had lessons as a child.

My third house is Taurus, and I can't sing for anything - but, to be fair, Aries is on the cusp and Chiron is dumped right in the middle of the house...

My double Aqua, Scorpio rising brother can sing pretty well. He has mercury in Pisces in his 5th house. I don't know about aspects, or other planets in the houses (I'd have to check) but he has no Taurus to be seen in his chart.

Venus conjunct uranus in the 6th.....12th house moon opposed 5th house saturn....

Moon, mercury, venus conjunct in Gemini, I can emulate voices its weird.
I can emulate popular female and males singers.
Idk just a weird talent I guess. I don't like my actual voice, so I change my voice type often.

I'm great at accents too, when I travel I tend to change my accent so people don't think I'm american. I usually get along with locals that way bahahahaha
I don't perform thou, not my thing.

I can carry a note and stay in melody but its not that powerful, I don't practice enough. Probably would get better if I was vocally trained.

Same here but with Scorpio and Mars/Pluto, hah! Not my best planets by any stretch of the imagination but Neptune is in house number 2. Maybe it counts for something? Plus I got Cancer midheaven and moon likes to sing, no?

Moon is exalted in Taurus, rules the MC but is afflicted by Neptune and in house 8. Recipe for success in any public field.

It depends there really is no simple formula.

Whitney Houston had:
North Node in Cancer in 5th
Empty 2nd and 10th
Sun & venus conjunct in Leo sq Neptune in 8th
Pluto & Mercury & Uranuns conjunct on the desc
Mercury sextile Neptune

Amy Winehouse:
empty 2nd & 10th
Venus and Mars in leo conjunct
Sun conjunct Mercury in virgo
Moon in cap conjunct Neptune in sag
Neptune aspected all of her planets except uranus

Adele:
Venus in gemini conjunct Chiron
Sun conjunct Jupiter in Taurus tight
North Node Pisces
Mercury in Gemini according to astrotheme on 0 degrees critical for any sign.

Elvis Presley:
Sun& Mercury conjunct Venus in Capricorn 2nd house
Venus conjunct North Node in Aquarius 2nd
Uranus in 5th
Pisces moon conjunct Aquarius Saturn
Sun trine Neptune

Sun & venus/mercury conjunctions

I'm just now seeing this.

Yeah, hard aspects from both to Neptune, I'm pretty sure. Probably explains it.

I guess it depends on what you consider a good singing voice.

Look for quintiles, especially with Venus.

I have Pisces Moon quintile Gemini Venus exact: I have a pretty good natural singing voice--good pitch, clear tone, good range, good sightreader. My former choir members jokingly called me "The Ringer" because if they ever needed someone to fill in for a tenor fast, I was who they asked, even though I'm female and an alto. I can blend with male voices very well.

I know another vocalist from my college yeas, someone I'd consider a true artist of vocal music, not these pop idol diva types. Her tone and pitch are impeccable, everything she sings sounds effortless , and when she performs she's just mesmerizing, it's like she becomes the music. She has Venus quintile Mars exact and Venus quintile Neptune 1 degree.

Ella Fitzgerald, who I consider THE epitome of jazz vocal music, had 2 quntiles with Uranus--with her Venus and with her Sun, exact. Unparalleled voice, innovative technique, groundbreaking performer.

Michael Jackson, who despite all the celebrity craziness, had one of the most outstanding voices in pop music ever. Everytime I hear one of his old Jackson 5 recordings, I have just in awe of the musiciality and naturalness of his voice at that age, lie he was literally born to sing, and an amazing vocal performer on top of it. Venus quintile Juptier exact.

I always thought Michael was an even better singer as an adult. The ability is probably due to having a Pisces ascendant and the ruler, Neptune, is conjunct Jupiter which is going to just intensify the whole thing. It doesn't hurt either to have Saturn on the midheaven conjunct the asteroid Orpheus. In the myth Orpheus' voice was so haunting that he managed to emotionally move the Underworld so much with his singing that they gave him back his dead wife or something similar. With Saturn being the planet associated with manifestation on the physical plane.

I would love to jump on the Taurus bandwagon, haha, but...

I have Mercury (my chart ruler, nonetheless) in Taurus, sextile Venus in Pisces and Jupiter in Cancer, and trine Neptune and Saturn in Capricorn. I also have 3rd decan Virgo ("Taurus" decan) on the rise (with Libra on the 2nd) and for added measure, Mars in the 5th House...

I can hold a tune about as well as a dying dog.

I always find it hilarious when an aspect or placement interpretations mentions that I might have a good singing voice. Jokezzzzzzzzz

Taurus in the 12th. Venus is in Libra, 4th house, squaring Neptune in the 7th. I have my moon in Pisces though, and it's sextile Neptune. I used to have a good voice, but then the lack of practice for years sort of created rusts in my vocal chords. XD
