Anyone else have Neptune/Venus square, oppositon or quincunx? Skin problems?

My husband and I both have it in our natal charts and we both have skin problems. His much worse than mine. He has basal cell skin cancer on his face (He has Aries sun)

I had eczema as a child and now have some type of skin ailment... My legs from ankle to knee itch like crazy. I had this once before about 4 yrs ago. The doctors have no clue and just prescribe creams that don't work. It's driving me insane. I didn't sleep at all last night... the itch drives you crazy. Right now I have Mars and Venus in my first house squaring my Venus in Capricorn. I went to the Emergent Care today and they just gave me more cream that doesn't work. Oh, I also have Neptune in the 6th house. Most of my ailments are things that have no cure, like irritable bowel syndrome, Restless Leg Syndrome, etc.

My dad has Venus conjunct Neptune, and he has really bad skin problems. His skin problems just erupted a year or so ago (when the Uranus/Pluto square hit his natal Neptune).

His whole body itches. He has gone for test after test, but they cannot find anything. No allergies, nothing. He gets it worst on his back, legs, and sides. He also had difficulty sleeping.

Neptune in the 6th house is said to be responsible for skin issues, as well.

I'm so sorry you're suffering so much! From the experience I've had with my father, I know how miserable the itching can be. It literally brought him to tears many times!

My dad applies cortisol cream all over his body before he goes to bed. For him, the cream really works. He also has some kind of spray that gives instant relief. When it's really bad, he takes an epsom salt bath with baking soda. He said it provides some relief.

I thought I heard something about skin issues being Saturn?

At any rate, I have really REALLY bad skin. Severe eczema, acne, you name it. I went to a used bookstore once, came back and a few days later I was on the hallway floor crying begging my mom to take me to the doctor. Turns out I'd managed to pick up pityriasis (sp?) in the freaking bookstore, somehow. Try having eczema and pityriasis at once - you'll no longer fear Hell lmao.

In the last few months due to a lot of stress and being exposed to the wrong skin care stuff and everything, my skin has gotten even worse. I made a couple trips to the doctor's office because I was regularly scratching raw spots into my skin - the side of my neck near my hairline, looked like a skinned knee.

NOTHING the doctor's prescribe me really helps anymore, not any of the super-strength steroid creams, and over the counter stuff is useless for me now too. I got desperate and started reading up alternative remedies, which read to reading product recommendations, and someone suggested buying all-natural goat's milk soap.

Yes, really.

Believe it or not, it actually worked, and a couple weeks into it I started to notice that my hands were clearing up, abnormally fast. I ordered the tea-tree soap from here :
http://www.goatmilkstuff.com/

I ordered a small bag of their laundry detergent too, and it did help alot. The itching and constant scratching had subsided by probably about 30-40% percent. A big big part of the issue, is what you're using to wash your skin and clothes. Once you get something natural, that takes a lot of the bite out of it.

I was doing okay with the goat milk stuff, and a prescription for Hydroxyzine - anti-histamine (anti-itch) pills that I basically demanded, then begged, the doctor to give me.

Random, side note - kinda WTF-ish but I've noticed that when you're kinda in a pickle and need SOMEthing fast to kill the itch...Vapo-Rub, works. The menthol cools it and makes it a LOT more bearable.

My husband had no problems until he was 69 yrs old. Like I said I had eczema as a child then it went away but I've always had allergies... Rhinitis, post nasal drip, etc. But this leg thing is new. I had it 4 yrs ago. I wish I remember exactly when so I could look it up in the ephemeris.

Maybe you need a 6th house mixed in with the Venus/Neptune.

Wow Snorkle...so sad. I know how bad it is. I'm sitting here at my computer with a cold towel on my legs... it really helps but I can't take that to bed tonight!

I will send for some of that soap. We already use all natural soap and dryer sheets.

Hubby has the type of eczema that is more like Psorisis. It only on his hands and feet and they blister and then split like a paper cut. And he hardly ever complains. Poor guy.

My legs are inflamed... all red like on fire and of course Mars is traveling with Venus in Aries of all places.

As for Saturn and skin... I don't know. That's why I posted. I want to hear from others with a Venus/Neptune with maybe a 6th house connection.

Cortisol doesn't work for me but someone mentioned Sea Salt baths. I'll try anything.

I found this:

MEDICAL ASTROLOGY AND ASTROLOGICAL MEDICINE

by Peter Morrell

Astrology as applied to medicine has very ancient roots, for example in India, China and Egypt, but it reached its fullest flowering in Europe in the late medieval and early modern periods, c1450-1700. The influence of astrology also entered European medicine from the Arab countries. Basically it is no exaggeration to say that astrology dominated everything during that period and thus many systems of knowledge depended upon it, were symbiotic with it, or made reference to it in their worldview. In the case of medicine, astrologers assigned signs of the zodiac to rule over parts of the body, planets to rule over organs and systems, and planets to rule over diseases and drugs. Thus the whole system is one of observation and interpretation based upon a complex system of given Rulerships.

This is clearly shown by Dygges in his 1555 manuscript:

Briefly the organs of the body are ruled as follows:

Brain and Nerves by Mercury [and Uranus]
Respiratory by Mercury
Heart by the Sun
Arteries by Mars
Veins by Saturn
Kidneys by Venus
Liver by Jupiter
Digestive system by Venus
Muscles by Mars
Reproduction by Venus and Mars
Endocrine system by Neptune and Uranus
Testes by Pluto
Ovaries by the Moon
Skin by Saturn
Teeth Nails and Hair by Mars
Bones and Skeleton by Saturn

The character of diseases given to the planets include: heart and spine disorders by the Sun; cuts, injuries and bruises as well as fevers and inflammations with redness and heat by Mars; liver disorders by Jupiter; diseases of expansion and excess by Sun or Jupiter; menstrual and mammary complaints and dropsies [fluid retention] by Moon; urinary complaints by Venus; diseases of decline, collapse, wasting, blockages and contraction by Saturn; poisonings by Saturn; tremors, neuroses, insanity by mercury, digestive disorders by Venus

Medical Astrology

Taking the Signs first, they are connected in this way with the body
Aries : Head and face, the eyes.
Taurus : The neck, ears, throat, larynx, tonsils.
Gemini : The arms, shoulders, muscles and bones in these, the lungs (including the trachea and bronchi), and the hands.
Cancer : Stomach, breasts, solar plexus, diaphragm, upper part of the liver.
Leo : The heart, spine and spinal parts.
Virgo : The intestines, alimentary canal, lower part of the liver.
Libra : Kidneys, loins, appendix, lumbar vertebrae and the skin generally.
Scorpio : The organs of reproduction, bladder, gall, colon and rectum.
Sagittarius : The hips, thighs and the sciatic nerves.
Capricorn : The knees, joints of the body and the hair.
Aquarius : The lower leg (calves and ankles), the teeth and the circulation of the blood.
Pisces : The feet and toes.

It's funny in a sad way that you're saying this because a few weeks ago I was sitting at my computer like I am now, only with a cold compress to my neck because the eczema was inflamed really REALLY badly.

You mentioned the sixth house, and there's probably something to that, because one of my inner planets is in that house and has a hard aspect to Saturn.

You know what? Your husband's eczema sounds like mine. As I'm typing this I have a bunch of gashes on my hands - the skin just opens up like a papercut on its own doesn't it? The soap actually works for that, oddly enough. A few days in, all the splits on my hands started to heal up REALLY fast, and the inflammation started to go down at a breakneck speed. Try buying him a bar of the tea-tree soap, and one of their "soap savers" - what I did, was put the bar in the soap-saver, wet it while it was still inside there, create a lather, and then rub it directly onto my hands. That way, the soap saver functions somewhat like a loofah/exfoliator too. Two weeks in my hands were starting to look normal, but I ran out and right now I have to put my money and focus toward other things, so now my hands look like hell again. But trust me, the tea-tree soap works. Even I couldn't believe it, because I'm one of those people that has severe eczema sprinkled all over their body, and everything the doctors have thrown at it, hasn't worked.

Your husband is definitely a trooper though, because I whine frequently and LOUD about this stuff.

Mercury tradtionally rules the skin.

If saturn ruled the skin than everyone my age would have the same skin type.
Personal planets influence the appearance significantly

Snorkel, what in your chart do you contribute the eczema to? I'd like to compare it to my husband's. He has Venus oppostion Venus natally but I can't connect it to the 6th. He has a completely unaspected Mercury but he does have Gemini on his 6th if I have his birthtime right. Going by his 96 yr old mom. Oh, and hubby did complain a bit when we were eating Buffalo wings the other night. Ouch!

Barbee, this is the article about Neptune in the 6th, re: skin problems.

"Neptune is a naturally confusing, mysterious and baffling planet and many strange allergies and symptoms may present themselves, psychosomatic illness and diseases that are hard to cure. The physical body itself may easily succumb to physical skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis showing a highly super-sensitive nature towards the environment, and they may generally feel drained of energy. These individuals have to be wary of toxins in the environment, immunological dysfunctions, and being very sensitive to drugs and anaesthetics. "

I have to be upfront here and admit I can't speak on the effectiveness of other brands of tea tree soap and goat's milk soap.

I was talking specifically about this - it was the one I actually tried :
http://goatmilkstuff.com/Goat-Milk-Soap-Tea-Tree.html

About the Neptune thing...I'm rethinking that now and wondering if there isn't some truth to it after all, because most of my planetary midpoints, square Neptune in my natal chart.

I have Mars in the 6th, squared by Saturn, and Neptune squares at least half of my planetary midpoints, including the sun/moon midpoint.

Hmmmm.... well there goes that theory. Are any of them retrograde? My husband didn't get his until in his 60's.

This is the reason I posted to see. Of course most of you are very young yet and hubby didn't get his 60's. Never had a problem before.

First of all, sorry guys about your skin problems

I've always had skin problems too - bad acne and just generally the skin on my face is not "healthy". I've had a treatment and all but eh, didn't work that well. It's an ongoing process, I guess.

Also, skin is actually ruled by Saturn & Capricorn. That's why a lot of Cap risers have skin problems and people with an afflicted Saturn usually have some type of skin problem, too (I have this). I've seen it way too many times, there's no doubt about it. ASC connected to Saturn, Saturn afflicted, sometimes Cap planets afflicted.

Barbee, maybe your husband had a Saturn transit at the time he got skin problems, or a planet aspecting his natal Saturn.

But it's definitely not Venus/Neptune, imo.

Well, my Venus is in Capricorn... soooooo I thought Venus was the culprit along with that article I found. But I'm open to suggestions, which is why I posted. My Venus doesn't make an aspect to Saturn, but it's in the sign. Capricorn is also on my MC conj. my venus. Neptune on the 6th has always given me illness that puzzle the doctors. Thanks Doux. I'll check hubby's chart.

Sure thing, no problem! See, you do have something in Cap, after all!

Oh yes, Neptune in the 6th isn't that good for health.. my mother has it and she's had health problems very much during her whole life and doctors couldn't/can't do much about it.

that's very true for me, thank you Star. However, my husband has nothing in his 6th and it's ruled by Taurus. Venus is opp. Neptune but it's like 7 deg.

His mum claims he was born at 12:55 pm but He seems more Aries to me than Sagg. and that would put Neptune smack dab in his 6th. He also has tinnitis (ringing in the ears) that there is no cure for. That's why I set him up as Aries. He could be Sagg. in that he is happy go lucky, but he is also accident prone. This is the first time in his life he's had a skin problem. I'll have to do a progression on him.

My DIL and my sister both had terrible acne.. I don't have their birth times but I'll check there charts for clues.

So far all my health problems have been nuisance type rather than something you could die of. It may be because I only have a trine and two sextiles to it. (Trines Uranus and Mars, and sextile to Pluto.

Well, if his 6th house is ruled by Taurus, Venus is the ruler of his 6th house. The fact that it is opposed by Neptune could explain it.

But anyway, you know your hubby best, so perhaps his birth time is incorrect!

And yes, your Neptune is nicely aspected (thank goodness!!).

None are retro. But, you might be onto something there because my dad and his side of the family has skin problems. So, genetically speaking, I am likely to be predisposed to it.

I'll check his chart just to compare

Aaaand yup, he has venus square neptune. He is a Virgo rising, chart ruler in the first conjunct the asc and pluto. His skin probs are in the hands and his shins.

Aaaand yup, he has venus square neptune. He is a Virgo rising, chart ruler in the first conjunct the asc and pluto. His skin probs are in the hands and his shins.

Well, that's the best part of Astrology, if you know in advance you can baby your skin and maybe never have problems or they will be slight like mine. The last time I got this was 4 yrs ago. I got steroid meds yesterday and already it's feeling much better. So not terribly bad for me. If I only get this every 4 years for just a few days, I can handle it. I try to keep my skin moist by using lotions, but I think I'll switch to natural lotions and I ordered that goat milk soap.

Your dad's case interests me because Virgo is on my 6th.
