Air signs are described as more intellectual and rational. They tend to analyse a situation based on facts rather than focus on feelings.
This is why it is considered that it is easier for people with airy mars or venus to separate love from lust.

Now with just about any stereotype in astrology, it's not because someone has venus in air signs that she's going to cheat, play around etc.. A natal chart is more complex than this.
