Which houses are indicative of a love/attraction in synastry? I have synastry with someone we have alot of planets falling into each others 5th houses. I read the best houses for love and attraction, etc are 5th, 7th and 8th. We only have one 7th house but lots of 5th houses falling into one anothers planets. We have mutually aspecting 5th in sun aspect as well...so I am just curious.IP: Logged |

Well, yes and no. The 5th represents "play" and "creativity" more than love. People with heavy emphasis in 5th house in relationships can simply enjoy each other's company and have fun together. The 7th house is partnerships, and includes business as well as marriage and open enemies. The 8th house is shared resources from a partnership, death and regeneration, sex in the deep sense rather than the recreational "fun" sense, which would also fall under the 5th house. How the house placements would play out in a relationship would depend on the natal charts of the individuals and on the aspects between their planets. If one person just wants to have fun, casual sex and the other wants romance and children, it won't matter how many planets fall in each other's 5th.IP: Logged |

I think the 5th house is more about casual flings. Its about fun and romance, nothing too heavy. The sexual attraction is there and it's light-hearted.The 8th house is more intense the person really gets under your skin in a deeper way,it gets complicated. Both are pretty nice to have--IP: Logged |

There are no "good" or "bad" houses in synastry.. it all depends on the relationship you have with the person and on the needs of the individuals involved. Some people may not enjoy 8th house connections, if they're more into light-hearted connections. It will feel uncomfortable to them and they may shy away from such an association. Actually 5th house is very important when it comes to feeling "in love". It just makes everything much more exciting and romantic. How would you want to have a fulfilling relationship without some fun, a good laugh and creativity? I don't think it's just about a casual fling or a summertime romance. Many married couples have 5th connections because it gives a Leo-ish touch to the whole thing and of course it's the house of children. Again, depends on what you're looking for. If you're heavily Saturnian, 10th house will be satisfying to you. If you're looking for an intimate, comfy-feeling at home connection, 4th house. If you love talking and exchanging with your partner: 3rd & 9th houses, and so on. But generally speaking, if you want long-term: ASC/DSC and IC/MC conjunctions are best, because they touch us at our core. So any planet placed in an angular house in synastry will be very powerful and help the couple feel truly connected at a deeper level.

When I run synastry with someone I always hope to see some of my planets in their eighth or at least aspecting their eighth house ruler if neither of those pan out I always feel bad because that's my personal barometer. "If something of mine is in your eighth house at least I MATTER to you".IP: Logged |
