I googled to double check and it turns out it wasn't really discussed here on LL http://www.astrotheme.com/astrology/Aleister_Crowley So basically - how does it strike you? Ok, I've read, Pisces moon in the 8th, makes a bit of sense. Nothing really screams depravity/drugs/all that smut, quite a bit screams "love of power", "attention-seeking" etc. ?? And what's with that Grand Cross? I've never really taken him seriously, but nonetheless.... If anyone's interested - discuss, perhaps? If this is better suited for personal readings then I apologise IP: Logged |

I think his Leo placements explain a lot, too. Found the Libra Venus a bit odd, however. But yeah, 8H moon would do a lot to explain him, though a Pisces moon could make him very sensitive to criticism and bullying (which I expect he grew up with, including from his parents) which could've hurt him to the point of snapping. I'd guess his mix of Libra & Cap placements (and again with the Leo) might've explained some of his more bizarre ideas like the one about wanting to assign a higher purpose ("true will/higher self") to people at birth (based on astrology, IIRC) and effectively make an insane police state if the idea were ever instituted (though it would clash with Thelemic law of do what you will, but Librans are often comfortable with paradox as we can see more than one side to things and actually see them as sometimes essential to understanding life).
