What do you guys think about the differences, in terms of feelings/type of interaction? Is there a difference between having north node square and conjunction in synastry? I've read many things about NN conjunctions, but not so much about the squares, and some astrologers seem to only take the conjunctions and oppositions into consideration... Considering the roles and interactions between planets and nodes in synastry, if person A's planet squares person B's NN, would it mean that person A is a stepping stone for person B in B's life path? And how would this be different if it were a conjunction? IP: Logged |

I would be interested in the answer to this as well- I have read that squares are just as important as the conjunctions.. But I'm not sure how they are felt?IP: Logged |

from what i understand when somebodys planet squares another persons NN, that means its conjunct their SN, meaning conjunct their personality traits that are already highly developed so the relationship is extremely comfortable for both people. the planet person is probably teaching SN something, usually karma/conflict is apparent in SN synastry, and most of the time one or both outgrow eachother, not fullfilling enough.....ive experienced this myselfin NN conjunct synastry. the planet person is what the NN needs so its extremely fullfilling if the NN person is ready for it and not scared to grow...if scared to grow the relationship might happen later but nonethless NN person is very much affected by planet person just is insecure...i think NN conjunct synastry one of the most fullfilling aspects, u feel like ur going somewhere with that person...planet person falls in love im pretty sure with NN, i think it goes both ways with the conjunct IP: Logged |

^ Uh that's not right... Squares are 90 degrees, and south node is 180 degrees from north node.IP: Logged |

tgem-yea it's interesting because some astrologers swear by the square's effects, but I don't see it mentioned as much as the conjunctions/oppositions...either way, it must do something! foxxyxo-when a planet squares someone's NN, it also squares their SN, since NN and SN are opposite of each other, 180 degree. That's why when I picture the entire concept, I picture an arc, with NN and SN at opposite spectrums, with the planet squaring them at the peak of the arc, halfway between them. So if person A's planet is squaring person B's NN, it might be a stepping stone for person B in coming from his/her SN and reaching his/her NN. But I'm not sure how that is different from when person A's planet is conjunct person B's NN... You hit the nail on the feelings though, I had moon conj NN with someone and was completely into them! I always felt this weird compulsion to help them out and be there for them, even though they never asked for it IP: Logged |

ooooooooo okay lol i always thought square/opposition kinda meant the same thing but thanks for pointing that outso if squared persons planet is aspecting sn and helping person reach their nn as well??? well then thats probably the best to have!!!!!! IP: Logged |

hmmm so would NN squares be better than conjunctions? also is a moon-NN connection a soul-mate aspect, or just one that makes you FEEL like it is? IP: Logged |
