hi all, i have an eighth house moon but i haven't experienced any of the things that's usually associated to the eigth house: death of mother, lots of loss, incredible psychic abilities loli do get intensely attached from people and do take a long time to recover from hurts though. i also have my jupiter conjunct my moon in the 8th house. would that mitigate all of those terrible things? thanks. ^^ Your eighth house moon/Jupiter is Libra with Scorpio overtones which explains why you get so attached to people. Scorpio moon is possessive. Jupiter would protect you from losses unless afflicted. Moon and Jupiter get along due to Jupiter's exaltation in Cancer so the conjunction cannot be considered bad.
Eighth house moon can be jealous. It's hard for me to be objective about my eighth house moon because Neptune is almost exactly opposite so I am often confused and mystified by what it means. I like to escape into fantasy a lot - books/movies/television/art/music. I have good psi abilities. I have deep, intense emotions. IP: Logged |

Can't help you. I have Moon conjunct Pluto in the 8th and I've experienced all those things.
Having said that, I don't know how "terrible" my life supposedly is compared to the next person. We all experience loss and pain 8th house people don't have a monopoly on that, and at the same time I experience great joy and happiness at times too. Don't start feeling sorry for and fearing ending up like me just yet, because trust me, honestly you'd be lucky and blessed to wind up living the life I've lived so far. IP: Logged |

Same with me (for all of the things I have highlighted. I really do hope Jupiter is what's protecting me from losses because I really love my mom and I don't want her going anywhere!!!! lol (expect for the grocery store to pick up some snacks LOLOLOL)  I get really attached to people and I want to give everything to them and it hurts me so much when they slight me even just a little  IP: Logged |

Haha, I didn't want to say "cool you have an eighth house moon too" when you didn't sound like you totally enjoy the experience, it would sound kinda warped! Good you have a more positive than negative time with it. It's great finding more people with the moon in that house though. Interesting that we all share the same Moon position in our charts!

No one with the moon in any house or sign, has a 100% positive experience. Life is a mixed bag for everybody, we all get good and bad. If I'm really totally honest about it, this thread offends me because it reads to me like, "Oh if you're an eighth house moon you poor thing your entire life must be Hell".

I've an 8h moon in virgo. Quite contrary to you, It's difficult for me to get attached to people. Even in romantic relationships, my feelings aren't consistent. Attribute it to my moon trine ura. I also have moon trine nept which means I confuse my emotions. I pick up, both, negative and positive emotions quickly and am moody. Possessiveness is beyond my moon. I do get jealous but that happens once in a while. I've a strong intuition and am attracted to the occult and other dark sciences. IP: Logged |
