I've read that these planets in the 12th point to a life of heartache and pain...much of which I have already gone through and I haven't even had my nodal return.

Can anyone relate? Is there any good side to BOTH of these planets being in my 12th?

In terms of relationships, I'd say just proceed with caution. I have Aqua moon in the 12th, and Venus in Pisces in the 12th but conjunct the ascendant (2 degrees 25 minute orb from ascendant). It depends on what houses Cancer, Taurus, and Libra are on.

I have a debilitated 12 th house Moon, with Chiron in the 4th.

My child was EXTREMELY unhappy. My so-called father was physically, emotionally and verbally VERY abusive. So-called Mom was emotionally abusive and refused to defend / protect me from her husband.

I have been cheated in love affairs and feel lost & unsupported, even as an adult.

Top it all, I am now suffering because of my son who has severe developmental delays ...

I must have been done something terrible in a past life to suffer so.... Maybe I was a jerk and a bully, and it is simply pay back time.

Hey , i have aqua moon in the 12th as well.

Regarding the main topic well i dont think youre dooming to live unhappy, i do feel kind of vulnerable very commonly but i stopped seeing it as something bad i just dwell on the sentimentalism it's kind of odd to explain.
Astrologically speaking well yeah people consider 12th house planets a bit hard.
personally speaking eventough theyre hard i do not believe youre doomed to unhappiness.

I have venus in the 12th which is already quite hard.. can't imagine having more than one thing in there!

I have a lot there also. Think the key is to make it work for you. As with everything in life. For the moon in the 12th & emotions. I found it very benificial to work through my own, so really doing the 'work'. Looking at past hurts, patterns & clearing old emotions & pain so when you respind to a situation you know you react 'in the here and now' and not from something that hurt you years ago. When you gain good insight in those emotions, you will be greatly in touch with your own needs and wants (connected to your inner strength) and it will be easy to take steps that benefit you. You start ruling your emotions & vice versa.
This position is also beneficial for other, because you will understand other people's emotions very well and be emphatic.
Those were my experiences.
