There's so many different formulas for this thing! One said mine was at 2 degrees Cappy; then the other (Woman 1 formula) said around 28 or 29 degress Aquarius; and the last one (Woman 2) gave me an answer around 27 degrees Libra. There needs to be a "WTF?!" emoticon here... The general interpretation from what I've skimmed through Google so far is that basically it gives you an idea of what your marriage partner and married life will be like. I'm assuming synastry-wise anyone who has prominent points in their chart landing on any of your Part of Marriage points, would be a big deal. I just found this link : http://www.signsbystars.com/arabic_part_of_marriage-en-42-4.htm IP: Logged |

Thank you Snorkel for the explanation and the link. PoM/PoF are not written about much. Thank you themischievousone for bumping this . BTW ... does your user name indicate a Gemini sun/rising? I am a Newflake ... so I have the license to ask stupid questions for a few months at least ;-). IP: Logged |

Excuse my french, but that link is rubbish... PoM in 12th house = unhappy marriage? If astrology was always that simple, we'd have little to talk about on this forum....I'm no wiser though... but I believe and I also read in various sources that rather than describing the person you'll marry or the nature of the marriage, the PoM brings forth marriage or issues of marriage when activated by transit or progression. And it would totally make sense that in synastry, potential marriage partners would make an important aspect to it. Not as a stand-alone solution though - remember that one in every 360 people would be a potential spouse then! But if it's supported by other links... well you do the maths. IP: Logged |

@ Snorkel and Janoe:The result of my PoM is Aquarius (which is my 4th house). My partner's Jupiter aspects my Pallas, Lilith and Pholus (all in my 4th and his 5th). The result of his PoM is Leo (which is his 11th). What can you interpret from the placement of his Nessus and Orcus in Leo (my 10th)? I am confused. Ideas, interpretations, comments most welcome. Hm. Personally, I don't really grant asteroids too much importance unless they're involved in some really strong, major synastry aspects. I don't see that for your partners Nessus. As for the Orcus, it's conjunct your MC. There's an old thread on Orcus here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/013960.html I don't get the jupiter connection... I see a wide conjunction with pallas, but how is it connected with lilith and pholus? That's too wide for a conjunction... IP: Logged |
