What does it mean to have your personal planets in the 'spiritual' houses?Does it mean that you will have to experience a lot a pain throughout in order attain freedom at the end? Sun-Moon in 9th house Mercury-Venus in 8th house Mars in 12th house IP: Logged |

Four planets in twelve, two planets in eight no planets in nine with intensely personalized moon in eight. Sun is in eleven about two degrees from twelve when using the Placidus system of houses and in it when using equal. I have a tough life and guess I am spiritual. Best thing about having Jupiter in twelve for me is the way it makes the bad seem alright and it just becomes part of who I am and I accept it and sorta am so used to it, I would have a difficult time adapting to something different. I bravely explore life's darker elements kinda like how the Star Ship Enterprise explores interstellar space. I guess accepting a tough life and liking it is the essence of spirituality. I also never ever worry. Ever. Best way to deal with life, focus on other people and have empathy. Good things will follow. IP: Logged |

Although every house has both the material and spiritual significance, Some houses are especially recognised. Like the 4th, 8th, 12th houses (or water/psyche houses) are considered the houses of Moksha/Liberation. The 9th house is the house of religion, philosophy and spiritual journeys. You might also say the 2nd house which refers to our values and the 6th, our sense of service. Here are some links which are pretty good.... http://www.drstandley.com/astrologycharts_twelvehouses.shtml https://www.janspiller.com/101_life.php http://humanityunitedforum.com/17849578-The-Secrets-of-the-12-Twelve-Astrological-Houses.pdf Especially the last link gives pretty good insight... ^^ In that case, I have two more spiritual contributions to make: Neptune in house 2 and North Node in 6. South Node's in 12, btw. I am loaded up on everything that's spiritual in this life, looks like. I am surprised I even have a corporeal existence. IP: Logged |

In my opinion, houses 1 to 6 cannot be spiritual, they are below the horizon and are about the personal/physical plane. The way I see it, only the 9th, 12th and maybe the 8th houses can be "spiritual". 9th = religion, faith, higher mind 12th = spirituality in its wider sense, the hidden dimension, "Oneness" 8th = psychic experiences, the fine line between the seen and the unseen, the occult I think people who have an emphasis on these houses tend to "need" a spiritual outlet of some kind in order to feel at peace within themselves. They're more aware of the spiritual world (consciously or not) and can't ignore it. If they do, it will probably make them miserable and lead them to painful feelings/situations (12th house = addictions, escapist tendencies; 9th = restlessness, fear of being trapped; 8th = inner tension, conflicts, obsessions). Just some ideas.

Okay, but the 4th house is considered spiritual by most astrologers since it also signifies your inner true self deep down and your real home. quote: The way I see it, only the 9th, 12th and maybe the 8th houses can be "spiritual". 9th = religion, faith, higher mind 12th = spirituality in its wider sense, the hidden dimension, "Oneness" 8th = psychic experiences, the fine line between the seen and the unseen, the occult

Just because a house is associated with the personal/physical plane doesn't mean it isn't spiritual. I have my Aqua Sun, moon, mercury in the 12th, with Venus and Jupiter on my Pisces ascendant (with my chart ruler--Neptune--in the 9th), Uranus in Scorpio in the 8th, and Saturn Rx in Cancer in the 4th. I experience Saturn's effects as much in a spiritual sense as I do in a physical sense. You could say that I experience them in the spiritual because I feel them physically. The pathway to the spiritual is the physical. I also have Mars in the 11th, Pluto in the 7th, and I don't deny their spirituality.

If you are a spiritual person to begin with, obviously all your placements - or at least, the majority - will feel spiritual to you, no matter what house they're in!4th house and spirituality - I can see where you guys are coming from. But that's digging really deep in the 4th. I doubt someone with a loaded 4th house and no planets in the 8th/9th/12th would be very spiritual. Just my opinion. IP: Logged |

You are a pisces ascendant with venus-jupiter in pisces too, along with sun-moon-mercury in the 12th..and your Asc ruler is in the 9th (same here )...plus you don't have any planets in the earth houses... All this is screaming spirituality! IP: Logged |

Yeah....I'd agree with that.. Or, maybe, even if no planets in the 8th/9th/12th... particular natal planetary aspects could provide the spiritual touch.. Even look to what those particular house rulers are doing.... IP: Logged |

True, but I have a Virgo DC and Mars in Cap, and I still experience those spiritually as well.

@ Doux Rêve, that makes sense from the standpoint of someone who follows western astrology. Vedic astrologers look at the second and sixth house as having esoteric meaning and I understand what they mean. These two houses are not as spiritual as say, house eight or twelve. House nine is more about ritual, going to church, preaching, and the like. Houses eight and twelve are the most mystical of all, imo.House two is about what we value, both physically and spiritually. I have Neptune there and am pretty much a non materialist. It has a profound affect on my value system. I am much more comfortable with all that is unseen and has no material value. House six is about serving others and that can be thought of as having a spiritual dimension since selfless service is connected to both the sixth and twelfth. Virgo/Pisces axis is very spiritual, connected with serving humanity in some way, even if it is on an individual basis (Virgo.) Pisces takes it to another level by serving humanity, and here is where you see historical figures like Jesus Christ. Virgin Mary is the Virgo manifestation of Christianity. So, there seems to be a spiritual component, it's just more dual than the houses placed above the horizon. IP: Logged |

What's interesting is that some, if not many, are under the impression that those with a lot spirituality in their charts (of those "into astrology") couldn't hurt a fly. Experience has shown me that they're the last people you want to mess with. They may give off a very innocent/forgiving/accepting energy, and they do, but if crossed, the universe takes over and re-balances things on their behalf. So, people may think they've gotten away with crossing someone like this. Those people are in for a rude awakening.IP: Logged |

virgo moon in 8h Trine Uranus/neptune and sextile pluto.Capricorn Uranus(chart ruler) conjunct neptune in the 12th Scorpio jupiter in the 9th. Unaspected, conjunct sun/moon midpoint and dispositor of sun, merc, venus, mars, nnode. I used to be spiritual but I had to suppress most of it. Couldn't take the external negativity anymore. It was a sudden exposure to life's harshness and I couldn't really stand it. So just clammed up in my shell. Now, I'm fine and indifferent. The good thing about jupiter is that it still sees good everywhere and cries. But it doesn't want to do that good. My life isn't particularly difficult. Just filled with trouble, mostly products of my own doing. Things can get a bit boring so from time to time I pour water to sulphuric acid.

Don't suppress it...its actually a gift. With your Chart ruler conjunct Neptune in the 12th and moon in the 8th.....life might seem very harsh and this might feel like the EASY way out...but its not the RIGHT way out.... IP: Logged |
