There are some people who say that the position of the Moon is more "significant" in men than women when picking a partner.

So, the man, in this instance, will feel an attraction to the woman who exudes the qualities of the Moon.

But to add to that, it is alleged that since Taurus is exalted in the Moon's position, Venus(Taurus' "ruler") is more exemplary in defining the kind of woman that the man is attracted to.

So,for instance, the man will be more drawn to the woman who exudesboth his Moon and Venus signs combined.

In the woman, the Sun is said to be definitive.

The woman, in this case,w ill look out for a man who exudes the qualities of her Sun sign.

And since Aries is exalted in the Sun's position, the ruler of Aries(Mars) is also jointly responsible for her attractions.

So, in this case, the woman will be drawn to a man who exudes both the qaulities of her Sun and Mars signs combined.

^ Yep, that's right. Traditionally, that's how it works, at least.

I think men tend to fall in love with their Moon archetype. Venus is a bit more superficial (in my experience).

I do think that men tend to associate with their Sun sign more, maybe because it's easier for them to express it.
But women, I've found, tend to express their Venus even more than their Moon - in social settings especially. It's usually very visible in their behaviour.
The Moon is more personal so it comes out strongly in personal settings - with close friends and relatives.

Yes, TRADITIONALLY. But, I don't always like this interpretation because it's just that, too traditional, and leaves out people who are attracted to the same sex as well as people who are a bit more androgynous.

For instance, I think that gay men tend to own and express their Moon and Venus much more easily than straight men. Not to spread stereotypes, but most gay men usually aren't afraid of expressing their feminine side (which the Moon and Venus represent). And the absence of a romantic relationship with a woman in their lives means that gay men don't need a woman to project that side of them onto, like straight men do. This is just an observation and I know from personal experience, as I am gay and have always identified with my Moon and Venus signs and expressed them with ease.

Of course, there are many straight men, too, who have no trouble expressing their feminine side. And many straight women may be more like their Sun/Mars combo. So, we just have to look at it that way. The Sun/Mars energy is a person's masculine side and the Moon/Venus energy is a person's feminine side. Whether they own it or project it, male or female, has to a lot to do with their own character and how they respond to gender roles.

In my opinion, yes. I have always related more to my Moon sign than my Sun sign.

I think it’s bologna because Im a woman and I relate more to my Sun sign than my moon. Yes it’s true though that I tend to be attracted to men who exude my Sun sign traits, but I also like down to earth and calm men. I have nothing in Earth. My mars is in Libra and although I like a romantic guy who takes care of himself I don’t think Im really attracted to Libra traits. Guys I tend to like almost always have Virgo for some reason.

I think the situation is different for everyone. I am a Pisces and I have felt more like a Pisces than my moon sign (Aquarius) despite me having a lot of Aqua as well. A stellium in both Aquarius and Pisces.
People put a lot of importance on the moon sign but I think it differs from person to person. I have a stellium in Pisces and a 12th house stellium. Although I am not super showy about my feelings and emotions, they are hidden from people but I am affectionate, but maybe Pisces is supposed to show their emotions more. So maybe that my Aquarius moon , but it’s also in the 12th house so I dont know... But all in all I feel more Pisces than Aquarius.
I don’t know about others. My sister is a Cancer moon and she says she relates to her moon more than her sun. So some do and some don’t. Im not sure what causes that.

I noticed Fire and Air females still have strong Sun features. I noticed that Water females have stronger Moon influence than Sun. Thats my own observation ofcourse.

I have a taurus sun in the 12H and moon conjunct Pluto, my bf has his moon in Aries 8H and sun conjunct Neptune in 5H so this theory makes sense in our case. My venus is in taurus 12H and his is in scorpio 4H.
