I had this with a karmic mate, someone I had very strong feelings for.My Moon in his 8th
His Moon in my 5th I was insanely in love and there were beautiful moments but nothing worked out (Saturn afflictions both ways). I can say that it's a very emotional and deep connection.

Last relationship partner had moon at cusp of 4th and 5th at 29 degrees. I have moon in 8th. Relationship worked out interestingly. Focus seemed on her, Taurus Moon ruled her 7th house, could never get the satisfaction from people that she wanted due to 5 Capricorn planets opposing the 7th, plus Ascendant in Capricorn.Synastry worked between us, but the lack of connection with others upset her. Process of relationship development proceeded without much turbulence, if any at all. Relationship ended when transiting Pluto conjuncted Mercury in her 12th house last year -- her ability to perceive reality became horribly thwarted. In addition, the mercury ruled her 5h and 8th houses. We ended up being better business partners, which worked to both our advantage.
