My astrologer found a very strong influence from my paternal grandmother which has created a huge weak point in my chart.
My question is: Could this influence be genetic rather than about how she behaved around / towards me?

All I can say that I know at least one person adopted at birth who's chart clearly shows correlations with her birth family rather than her adoptive family.
