How important are natal point degrees to planets degrees in synastry? For example my bf DC is 29 degrees pisces. I have a 17 degree pisces sun in his 6th house, but would make a 12 degree conjunction to his DC. I also have a 10 degree Jupiter in Aries, I have a 2 degree Venus in Taurus. This puts my Jupiter in his 7th of an 11 conj to his DC and my Venus in his 8th. My DC is 19 degrees Taurus and he has a 17 Taurus moon that falls in my 6th house, but would make a 2 degree conjunct. Is the degree conjunction still significant when they fall in separate signs/houses? Or my SN in 23 degrees next his Asc in 29 (6 degree conjunct), with a 10 degree to his Venus. My NN also has a 6 degree to his DC. I also hear conjunctions/aspects larger than 6 or 10 arnt that significant. Do they just get rulled out?

You'll eventually decide what works for you. After some years of study, these are the orbs I use: With Dynamic aspects (conjunction, square or opposition): Sun or Moon in aspect to anything - 5-6 degrees Lesser planets and points in aspect - 3-4 degrees Softer aspects (sextiles, etc.): Sun or Moon in aspect to anything - 2-3 degrees Lesser planets and points in aspect - 1-2 degrees For me, wider orbs than these are not significant, unless other factors contribute. A 2 degree Moon conjunction to the DC is significant and may be interpreted in the 7th, but with some amount of inequality, service, etc. (6th) hope that helps! IP: Logged |

Agree with HSC.Your Sun is therefore definitely in his 6th. But there can still be a comfy vibe going on because your Sun is in the same sign as his DSC. So that helps a bit. I wouldn't consider the aspects you mentioned with the Nodal axis. Usually for SN/NN, the orb is even tighter, like maximum 3°. But yes, see for yourself, if you can feel the aspects, then they're working for you, even if the orbs are wide.
