I'm sorry you went through that I totally agree with what anno_lucis said though and think maybe it just has more to do with the culmination of some sort of important cycle/karma, but can't necessarily say how many incarnations someone has actually had

As for being a new soul I'm not entirely sure that's true, but I'm also not able to use actual evidence to suggest otherwise. There are certain things I've been through that I wouldn't expect a "new" soul to experience. It's better not to go into the details or I'd never shut up.
