Conjunctions can be hard or soft aspects. Much depends on how that conjunction is aspected by other planets, in your chart and in her chart. Since you're the one feeling the resentment, what other planets are making aspects to your sun?IP: Logged |

I have this with my boyfriend, my Virgo Mars conjunct his Virgo Sun.One minute we hate each other, next minute we want to spend our lives together .. a love/hate relationship  He sometimes makes me want to die or hit him. IP: Logged |

Good point! I don't remember my mom's chart too well right now...but I realized that if someone's Mars is conjunct my sun, their Mars is also square my Jupiter and Pluto. That affects my experience with this particular aspect, definitely.

It doesn't have to be an Aries/Mars on my Sun
It can be my Mars on someones Gemini/Sun
nor does it just apply to romantic relationships but friendships as well. ------------------

It's an "okay" aspect, for me.
I don't really feel it that much. In a romantic situation, it doesn't play out as intensely as expected because both my Sun and Mars square Saturn, which means that whenever someone's Sun or Mars conjunct my Sun or Mars, they'll probably square my Saturn, too. And that cools things off quite a bit. It's not a 'romantic' aspect, though.
It can point to sexual attraction but in a raw way. If it's between people of the same sex, it can lead to arguments and competition.. definitely. If well-aspected, it can be quite powerful and give plenty of energy.
Faith,
If your mother's Mars also squares your Pluto and Jupiter, that definitely adds to the tension. But generally speaking, Sun conjunct Mars doesn't have to be a negative aspect.

Lol..... I just met a Leo woman with Her Mars square my Sun and my Mars conjunct Her Sun.I felt some weird vibe..... I don't show that much emotion at first meeting. Couple of days later, I can feel like she is always trying to prove something???? My Sun conjunct her Venus, so I don't know?. I can see how nasty this aspect can turn out so I keep everything polite. ------------------
