My Pisces sun conjuncts my south node in the 8th house.

I've been looking for good sources of information on this placement but have been unable to find much. The majority of it is about the NN....I understand this is a very karmic placement, does anyone else have it or does anyone know what it signifies?

Input much appreciated! TIA

Hi, Maelstrom!

I don't have this aspect, and I don't think I know anyone who has it; but it makes me think that you are very tied to your SN and its ways. You can probably relate to the whole Pisces/Scorpio energy, swimming in deep emotions, compassion, sensitivity, intensity. Maybe your ego (Sun) depends on these factors, you may feel like this is who you are, and there's no changing it.

However with a Virgo NN in the 2nd house, your goal in this life is to bring more structure, more order, more practicality in your life. You probably want to have a stable life, and feeling safe and secure is very important to you. Feeling worthy, self-reliant and practical can be very important to you. If you don't depend on anyone for survival (8th house), then you're moving towards your NN in the 2nd house. And if you feel grounded, safe, healthy and fully conscious, that's definitely a sign that you have reached - or are about to reach - your NN potential.

It can be difficult for you to "shine", though. You may feel underappreciated or like no one truly values you. And that's where the challenge lies: your Sun, tied to your South Node, can make it hard for you to feel appreciated and loved for who you are. You are a very compassionate, loving person yourself, but it may feel like others are not that way with you.

So, gaining confidence, working on a solid self-esteem (2nd house) and financial independence, will probably help you. Focusing on work, the "world out there" and not just on your internal world, will also prove beneficial.
You should probably try to find a balance between being dependent on others VS being self-sufficient and being fully present in your everyday life VS daydreaming or escaping.

Hope some if this resonates with you!

Wow! thank you so much for your thoughtful and interesting insight. I can definitely relate to what you have written, particularly the first part about being tied to the emotions. I pretty much live and breath through my emotions, it can be very hard to look at a situation with a clear head (lack of air).

I have always wanted a secure base - I could never be a nomadic type who lives off their wits. As I've got older - and this ties in with what you have written - that need for a secure base has become my absolute goal. I have taken a few years out to raise my family but I am now very focused on a career. In keeping with my NN values of service, I am working in care and hoping to become a nurse.

I do have to fight the urge to live in my head and focus on the concrete reality of here and now. I'm afraid the self esteem is a work in progress (I also have harsh aspects between my sun and saturn) but I am pretty sure that will strengthen with career progression.

again thanks for your reply and as you can see, it was right on the nail! x

You're welcome, I'm glad you could relate.

Good luck with your journey to the NN! ~
