Not counting specific placementsd, I am referring to their general spirit.Handsdown my list are: 1)Capricorn (specifically the men) 2)Aries (especially Soldiers) 3)Pisces-one of the FEW EXCEPTIONS when Pisces ends up as one of the Powerhouses of the Zodiac-more rulers of nations are born under this sign than any other and you'll be terrified about the willpower a Pisces has when he is a Patriot. Just read up George Washington. 4)Cancer-OH YES if its a woman's placement. Moderate 5)Taurus-1950s father afterall 6)I'm not sure but stuff I read online states Gemini is the MOST PATRIOTIC of the Air Signs. Can anyone clarify 7)Leo-Tend to be moderate but if the Leo is the Monarch of the nation, then it becomes a totally different story. Also when personal Honor is at stake will take patriotism incredibly seriously (Napoleon Bonaparte) 8)Sagittarrius-Same as Leo UNPATRIOTIC 9)Virgo 10)Libra-Librans are PEACELOVERS not Fighters.Doomlord is an example 11)Aquarius-Unless they bellieve the nation or at least its government will solve the issues of mankind or at least care for the welfare of its citizens, Aquarius are second to the LEAST PATRIOTIC sign you can find (not that they get hated for it people still them for their humanitarian nature). If they believe the government is a UTOPIA expect a FANATIC (see Marcel Bigeard). 12)Scorpio-THE LEAST PATRIOTIC of the Signs. Unless a Phoenix or loved ones are at stake, Scorpio is the one most likely to dodge the draft. Doesn't care if labeled a traitor and takes pride in not fighting a stupid war. Of course other placements in chart heavily affect. I notice Scorpio with Pisces Moon tend to be much more patriotic than the general description and Aquarius combined with Scorpio is a strange hybrid of both traitor, utopian, and unbreaking loyalty to loved ones they become the "silent patriot"-meaning they may seem openly unpatriotic or even aloof to the countries welfare but when war comes they are the first one to fight and they are among the MOST LOYAL citizens a nation can find. Yet they are not above bashing the government and even attacking many of the nation's institutions but they are loyal to their comrades and fight for the welfare of the people esp. the lower classes. Capricorn with Leo create an aristocratic conservative. And so forth. IP: Logged |

I'm a 10th house Gemini Sun, with a heavy air, heavy mutable chart, and I consider rabid patriotism to be a serious character flaw and a likely indicator of a personality disorder. And that's putting it politely. The very word "patriotism" makes me gag as well as any infantile displays of it. Bleep your American flag lapel pins. Seriously. It's a bleeping label pin. It means nothing. Same with the bleeping flag. It's just dyed nylon fabric made in China, you chumps. I love the American people--but I do not love the concept of a "nation" and so much going on today in the name of the American people is heartbreaking for me. So much of what this nation does today is shameful and hurtful both to Americans and to people around the world. Why would I dress that up in "patriotism" and say I should be proud of it? I'm not an idiot. But this is "the Land of the Free", and plenty of people have freely chosen to be such idiots themselves. IP: Logged |

I'm a Scorpio 8H with Pisces moon 12H I'm pretty patriotic. I will always love and appreciate the land I was born on. However, the fact is we are human beings before anything else, and the lines we divide on the continets are invisible. That being said, loving your nation is like loving your house. It's the house that provides shelter and salivation.. Of course your going to have more devotion for the things that personally benefits you. But occasionally that leaves us to become blind-sided to the outside world. I think a lot of people just have a hard time finding that balance. I know I'm giving a see-saw response, but I guess I'm trying to show that there are 2-sides to everything. IP: Logged |

my dad's a gemini and he's very patriotic, more than caps, I believe. He wanted to join the navy but didn't like the cap.I'm a sagittarian and i'm not at all patriotic. Borders and boundaries, in my opinion, should serve only administrative purpose and interest. Carving an identity from a nation is ridiculous. IP: Logged |

Just for the record we define patriotic very differently. I don't define it as sticking my boot up the butts of other people just to prove myself the superior barbarian. OTOH I'm not a pacifist either. For the most part I like how the Swiss do it (which is pretty Libran), though I have my quibbles with it (but that's pretty Libran, too). Despite my quibbles I'd have volunteered for the Swiss military...but I never will the US military. And I knew some people who dodged the draft and/or hold the military suspicious because they believe the government has become unconstitutional and thus (as it's the Constitution that gives the government its legitimacy/right to exist) illegal & treasonous (granted, they're fringe, but they're still operating under patriotic ideals). IOW, they consider the US Government to be the Benedict Arnolds who betrayed the Constitution and thus gone "rogue," which can't help but bleed over into the military somewhat, though Michael New was honored for refusing to wear UN colors as ordered, and the military that court martialed him seen as un-American. That aside, I'd have to say the Cancer men I've known have usually been very patriotic, and in the "my country right or wrong" sense. Though one did advise me against going into the military but that's because he worked as a psychologist in the US Army and after all he came across (which inspired him to become a rape crisis counselor) and knowing it's still going strong he didn't want me exposed to that. But he still likes to say things like, "Afghanistan deserved every bomb & drone we send them" (though he did think invading Iraq was stupid, but he still stands with his country, "right or wrong"). ETA: I just have to add that my Granny is an Aries and she was a hippie who helped people dodge the draft. And my cousin is an Aries, too, and let's just say he fully supports both the idea of Texas and Southern secession, which COULD be seen as patriotic of a sort (to Texas and the Confederacy, and if some secessionist government were to raise a militia I have no doubt he'd join, maybe even volunteer for the front lines), but also treasonous (to the United States) depending on your perspective. If we're talking about patriotic in terms of the United States--which wasn't made clear, but implied--I'm also going to go with Cancer. My reason being, the U.S. Declaration of Independence was adopted (but not signed) on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The date alone puts the Sun in the sign of Cancer, and given the rest of the information, there's a stellium in Cancer: Mercury, Sun, Jupiter (exalted in Cancer) and Venus. I don't know what time the Declaration was adopted, so the moon's placement could be off, but with the time set to 12 noon, that puts it in Aquarius. I'd be curious if the actual time would keep it in Aquarius, because if so, that would place the moon in a very forward thinking position, fitting--in some respects--for the U.S. (even with all of America's faults). So, I say Cancer Sun. IP: Logged |
