Topic: Helpful way of guessing the Rising

I am starting to pay more attention to transits. One that seems to have an effect on everyone I know is the Mars moving over the ascendant. It makes the person more aggressive and more likely to start a fight, even easy going Libra friends of mine feel the effect. What are your thoughts on this? IP: Logged |

I look at the face structure and try guessing the ascendant.
- Block faces...fixed signs.
- Block face, stocky built...Taurus rising.
- Ovate faces...cardinal signs.
- Round soft face...cancer rising or Moon in aspect to ascendant.
- Long, tapering faces...Mutable signs.
- Big forehead...Jupiter aspect ascendant/1H.
- Dimples/"sweet smile"...venus in aspect to ascendant or 1H.
- Watery, soft, dreamy eyes...Neptune aspect ascendant/Pisces rising.
- Reddish face/pimples...Mars in 12th or Mars aspect ascendant or 1H afflicted Mars.
- If something about the person reminds me of a Lion especially the hair or the person pays a lot of attention to their hair...Leo ascendant.
- Wiry hair/curls...Mercury aspect ascendant.
- deep set eyes or prominent bones...Saturn aspect ascendant/1H Saturn.
- I know quite a few men with fire rising who started to bald at an early age. The second method I use(rarely) is asking a Horary question. The Rising sign of the Horary chart is taken as the quesited's rising sign. I don't know how accurate it is but it's worked fine twice. I cross-checked with the people in question and it turned out to be accurate. I also see if the (horary)ascendant description(with planetary aspects) matches with their features. Determining a person's rising sign using transits is similar to birth chart rectification. I personally find birth chart rectification more accurate than birth certificates which can be off by a few minutes. But I don't know how to go about with transits.

How they view life, their personal experiences, and the vibe and mannerisms of the person.I know it is hard to decipher but lets give you a test: A man who has personal experiences of severe bullying, he has gotten into physical violent fights with many people throughtout his late childhood/early adolescence, he is prone to depression and feeling unloved and uncared for. Until a woman comes in his life and changes everything, he becomes more fairheaded and less willing to fight with others, he always cared for people and wanted to help them but this trait came out more, he prefers to talk with the manners of the mind while being empathic and sensitive to others needs but not doing anything impulsive, he sees that people have potential and humanity must change and the world needs become more balanced and fruitful, without wars and famine...
He is more introverted but he less intuitive than he is emotional. (He is a logical thinker) His Negative traits is that he is indulgent and loves sweets. He has an ovate face with yellow undertones, slight curly hair that is brownish-blond, dark green eyes, gentle face and 5"6. He is a bit chubby but slender under the clothes, his hands are slender and long. (Yes this is a real person) What ASC sign would you guess this to be?

Finding love and being healed reeks of a Libra asc(I am a venus child myself,I get that  )also the yellow undertone and wavy/curly hair.
I am a sag rising and my hair gives it away Karka! Its naturally very straight,raven black and voluminous.also sag rising have the slightest lurch to their gait,it becomes noticeable if the person is tall or is wearing heels IP: Logged |

I'm glad you knew ^_^ Could you be able to tell I'm a Cap Rising by my round face, small nose, full lips, medium toned skin that changes colors each day sometimes its pale gold then ruddish brown, corse hair (it shines blond and red), shy voice, bullied, anxiety, indulgent, full bodies, short height, an old soul. Old-soulness definitely and coarse hair too do you also have reservations about bright make-up or clothes?and prominent knees and elbows? cap risings usually have a wonderfully unobtrusive and feminine laugh,if slightly reserved.IP: Logged |

About the bullying, I'm really passive and hard to stand up for myself and naturally very shy. Sun and Mars in Cancer Sixth house.  I assume people bully me because I have something different (obviously). I dress kind of boring sometimes, when I do dress good its really feminine and sexy No, my breast and thigh areas are developed LOL! My knees are darker than the rest of my body, because they got scrapped up with blood when I was young. I use to feel insecure about it, same with my elbow. IP: Logged |
