Topic: Someone, PLEASE help me understand my mother!!!

So, she's a Scorpio Sun, Moon, Mercury. Cap Venus and Aries Rising. Born 49. (I have a Hades Moon plus Sun and Mercury sq Pluto)She is THE most pessimistic, suspicious and dreary human I know. She HATES surprises and she hates doing anything spontaneous!! She hates all of my dad's hobbies incl his job which HE loves and has worked with for over 50 years. They have been married for 32 years. She complains about everything between A-Z and I cannot take it anymore. I have tried so hard to help her (retired and has no hobbies) maybe get a 1/2 time job with plants and flowers which she loves but "oh no, I have to take care of the house...". She does do that, in between sips of booze...................................... :-/ Her attitude drags me down to very dark places every time I speak with her and I don't want it anymore. Is this somewhat of a Scorpio trait, to complain and be a drama queen about everything, or more subjective to her? For ref.: I have a 5 planet stellium in 11H, Cap Moon, Virgo Rising. My dad is a Gem Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Rising. IP: Logged |

Venus square the Aries ascendant maybe? That would make her appear unpleasant, having this planet square her Aries Ascending degree.IP: Logged |

all that scorpio, hell yea she is a fiesty lady!!!!!! cap venus, maybe she feels like she can't connect too easily with people, and with all that scorpio=all that emotion, not connecting, must be hard, shes bottling up all that emotion inside, not expressing its just coming out negative. aries rising just wants to live life, cap venus would make her cautious and scorp, paranoid. maybe start doing stupid things infront of her lol try to make her laugh, without a sense of humor for cappys theyd prob die sometimes people need help to get out of their slumps, she may say she hates all these hobbies but just force her to do it anyways lol seriously! A person with a chart like that will definitely like being around someone genuinely guileless,happy and non-interfering.Try to be happy,relaxed and naturally childlike around her without necessarily involving her too directly.And never give in to her control issues,be debonaire about that.Over time she will respond positively to a lot of things,really.  The worst thing you can do with people who take themselves too seriously is taking them too seriously yourself.At the same time,don't belittle her feelings.
And don't lose heart,you sound like a very concerned and caring daughter deep inside.Don't try too hard.

I guess that's a Scorpio/Cap trait. Lolz.My mom's a Scorpio Sun/Mercury/Neptune with Pluto trine Capricorn Venus and she's quite similar to your mom, not a drama queen exactly though. By the way, my dad's a Gemini Sun/Taurus Moon/Taurus Rising. She's suspicious enough to believe that everyone around has ulterior motives and is jealous of her and her success. Instead of seeing this as pessimism and suspicion, she thinks it's realism and being on guard. Moreover, she's very critical of my dad. Not particularly his hobbies but in general. I don't know if this is a mom thing or what - she nags a lot, asking us to do simple things like bathe at so and so time "for our good". They've been together for 35 years (she's 54) and she's been like this forever it seems. I've a Virgo Moon, Sun/Mars in the 11th and Saturn in the 1st and all I do is, listen from one ear, spit out from another. Or I just tell her to keep quiet.
