When I was first getting into Astrology last year, I bought a copy of "Your Personal Astrology Guide 2012 Pisces" by Rick Levine and Jeff Jawer both out of sheer curiosity and for fun. I didn't take the book seriously and when I finally started getting more seriously into Astrology after learning my Moon and Ascendant I was going to test the book if the Forecasts are accurate (but unfortunately I lost it at a local bus stand).

Just earlier today I was at a Five Below store when I found some of these Yearly Forecast books on sale for $2 published by Igloo Books ltd. I admit I would have bought a copy had there been one available for Pisces 2013 but even though their wasn't I admitted I was actually considering buy the available Scorpio 2013 because I'm both a Scorpio Ascendant and Scorpio Dominant.

I might even actually get a copy of the Scorpio Forecast book next time I go to that Five Below store (probably this weekend).

However I admitted I've advanced so far into Astrology I already know these kinds of books are too vague and general to be really useful for a real Forecast and that real Predictive Astrology requires Precise Hour of Birth to be accurate and Forecasting are tailored for a specific individual as opposed to these Yearly Forecast books on one sign you can find at the local book store. At this point I admit I am trying to learn how to forecast events based on my chart and I already am weary of certain events coming true because Saturn is in Scorpio (my Asc and Dominant).

So I am curious how useful are such Books? Would you recommend buying them (even to just try to experiment on the forecasts)? Or would you call them all a waste of money and recommend purchasing a real forecast for my own specific natal chart and/or study my chart to learn forecasts on my own?

Also I am wondering assuming these books are useful and work, would it be fine if I purchase a copy of the Scorpio 2013 Forecast book instead of Pisces 2013 (because this doesn't exist at the Five Below I went to)? I mean I may not be a Scorpio by Month but I'm both a Scorpio Ascendant and Scorpio Dominant so I don't see why not these books wouldn't apply to me because Scorpio is the MOST POWERFUL influence in my chart-even my Ascendant and Dominant Planet are both Pluto in Scorpio in my chart.
