You all already know since I first started posting on this site my rants about Saint Seiya  .Regardless I  Saint Seiya so much and I admit I probably wouldn't be interested in Astrology if it wasn't for its brilliant use of blending Greek Mythology, Shonen Action, and the Zodiac into one awesome Fantasy story! As a teenager I became fascinated. I have always admired the cosmos and have a love of mythology. My mother taught me the planetary names and order from sun at age five and I went on from there. It's just part of history.IP: Logged |

I always though of astrology as a somewhat connected to Sociology and Psychology. If sociology is the way we interact with each other and Psychology looks at are behaviors wouldn't astrology explain both deep into the core? True story. I've encountered people that have made me think, oi whats up with them? I figure out there time of birth pop up a chart and everything else seams to make sense.

I learned it from others for the western mystery tradition that included it in occult rituals and the like back when I decided to be Wiccan. While there were books on regularly astrology around (and was the first time I read Linda Goodman) there wasn't much of an emphasis placed on it. Yet I got curious and looked at it closer. First I did up my chart, but I also then made random assignments for each one as well (had I thought of it I'd have had someone else do my chart and see if I could decide which one fit me best...) The random placements I'd chosen didn't fit me, sometimes not at all, whereas the actual placements did, even when going out on a limb. But I lost interest for awhile. Then I got into it I think because I was bored and it teased my mind that it worked when I could see no reason why it should (I'd eventually form my theories on why it does which I've shared here before, and how it's metaphysical, not physical in nature). It was like working out a puzzle and I liked puzzle games back then so it was fun. And then I had romantic troubles and couples counseling was useless (the only way it helped is it bonded us in contempt of our counselor). I then dragged my SO to an astrologer at a psychic fair who was far more helpful so I saw astrology as more useful than psychology and got into it more. I started doing charts of volunteers and even the skeptics were impressed (it helped that I did know them, but all the same the placements fit). And then other things demanded my time and I got out of it. When I went to Texas for awhile I sold a bunch of my books, including astrology (still have some). But then I found myself with more free time (about 2012) and have been thinking about diving back into it, giving myself a refresher at least. IP: Logged |

used to think it was BS, but then i read relationships between sun signs for me and my best friend, and even just the sun sign relationship hit the nail on the head. so i started investigating more and more and more. right now it has the answers i need and or want to hear. i cant say if i will forever be into it but i know im into it for right now ------------------

To learn something completely new--brand new! Broaden my knowledge base, to expand my vistas....Also would be a fun to have inner laboratory experience where I could study myself as a new learner, and observe the process! I got the idea for 'what to learn', through noticing horoscopes that were printed every day in newspapers... I found a place online to print out my natal wheel. There was a button on yahoo to look at your daily horoscope... I signed up for a free subscription to Mark Lerner's Daily Cosmic Calendar. I made no pressure or expectation on myself--just simply read that report every day. No stress over whether or not I understood what I was reading. After maybe 4 to 5 months of "not trying," I definitely noticed that there were "patterns" emerging... There was a rhythm to it! I was now curious. I became enticed to go deeper... curious to find out "how" cycles happen!
I astrology!! Astrology is Beautiful!

My bff got me into it. I said:It's BS, why do you believe in that crap & etc, etc. I went on yahoo answers, asked why do people believe in astrology , got an answer from some random lady to go on a site & get my birth chart done.I went to the astrology site, got my birth chart done, was amazed by how accurate it was & never looked back. Linda Goodman did have a hand in my interest. I found her books at stores and in libraries. I really enjoyed how she went into vivid detail about each sign. Fun reads!IP: Logged |

I always knew I was a Gemini "the twins." In March 2007, my sis in law showed me her natal report from astrolabe.com. She said it was super accurate. She suggested I read my own. I did and was like "oooooooh my this is accurate!" Then I looked it up some more and ran into cafeastrology and they had a romantic compatibility calculator. So I checked the compatibility of me and my kids mother and it was 99% accurate! Next I checked compatibility between Miss Scorpio and I and that was accurate too. I was hooked.------------------

My mom and grandma often used sun signs when describing or pointing out certain traits in themselves or others, so I knew a good chunk about my sun sign early on. I didn't delve deeper though until I was sorta kinda obsessed with my crush at the time and I chanced upon 800 astrology (I think thats the name) and cafeastrology and romantic compatibility reports. After I started to google what everything meant it all started to make more sense and one thing just lead to another pretty much. IP: Logged |
