...and I blame my Mercurial ruler in 11H and Uranus in 3H and the fact that even my seemingly serene trines are actually squares and oppositions. Doen't help that I have a pVirgo stellium of Sun, Venus, Mars and Mercury conj asc but in the 12H either....My brain is one churning computer and this was the worst moment in my life. Thanks for listening. IP: Logged |

Yes, definitely difficult! Virgo does especially poorly with h12. I have it on the cusp. You must be Virgo ascending. Try to wait out the wave of panic. It is a temporary situation.IP: Logged |

Serious internal stress and exhaustion. just got engaged, moving to another country, detest my job I have to remain at for another year, people demanding ME to FIX them and I can't hel them anymore which makes me feel bad because I am a helpful person. SO many things just surfaced and I couldn't deal anymore. My mom, which I posted about a few days ago weighs heavily on me... so many things.IP: Logged |

I had a panic attack last year. Worst feeling ever! I was on the street going to my car and had to sit down on the curb because my heart was going to get out of my chest all of a sudden. I didnt know it was a panick attack and I thought I was having a heart attack and was going to die right there on the street. The policeman nearby helped me to sit in his car while waiting for the paramedics. He got my family's contacts so he would have called them in case I died. uugghh. The paramedics who came said it was a panic attack. What da..? I never knew that existed before..I had another bound of a panic attack a few months later. I found out the following - if you take a pain killer, like Aspirin or Advile or Tylenol - the panic IS GONE. I always carry a bottle of Tylenol or Advil in my purse, just in case. Try it! I swear it works wonders. At the first sign of a panic attack - like heart palpitation and difficulty breathing, take a painkiller or two. I am a Virgo, btw IP: Logged |

The best thing you can do, when you get a panic attack, is breathe deeply and then keep your mind and body busy. I know it sounds difficult but it's the best treatment for this. Just keep doing something so you can keep away the thoughts that cause you the panic attack.------------------ "No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn" IP: Logged |

Mercury dominant people are prone to panic attacks since Mercury rules the nervous system. Gemini - arms, lungs, shoulders, hands, nervous system, brain Virgo - digestive system, intestines, spleen, nervous systemIn some cases I'd say Uranus influence people could be affected because Aquarius is associated with the circulatory system, i.e. the transportation of nutrients, oxygen, hormones throughout the body and the stabilization of body temperature. It doesn't always show up in your younger years, sometimes it takes a personal emotional trigger, sometimes there are hereditary factors, other times panic attacks can occur when facing a phobia, withdrawals from substances, or from even taking new medication.IP: Logged |

Just remember, SLOOOOOOW DEEEEEP BREATHS!Panic/Anxiety attacks are no joke! You feel like you are having a heart attack so that fear just makes the panic attack worse because your heart speeds up more and your breath becomes more shallow. The thing to keep in mind is that it is all a mind game! When having one, think of other things, do not focus on your heart rate. Think of what you did during the day or your favorite tv show, do anything to keep your mind off your heart rate. If you do that, your heart rate will come down on its own much faster. When I used to have them, they used to last for 3-5 hours. I'd be sitting there thinking about my heart rate and it would take forever for it to come down. Then I learned to do what I mentioned above and I haven't had one in at least 5 years. ------------------ Gemini Sun Libra Moon Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus Virgo Mars Virgo Asc And yes, I'm a guy! I used to have them every single day. My trigger was sitting in a circle and I was at university at the time so I just KNEW It would happen every time I was in a small tutorial group. It was horrible...the whole heart thing, the fear, not being able to feel my body at all and that I had lost control of its functions. One of the worst parts is that because I couldn't feel my body, I often, believed I had stopped breathing or had urinated. Even though I knew my work, there was no way I could participate in a discussion. All I could squeak was "I don't know" while my consciousness spun around the ceiling. People must have thought I was weird because I never told a soul (I thought I was mad and they would put me away for believing that I was dying on a daily basis). After an attack I would often hide in a toilet to "come down" and curl in a foetal position. Eventually the attacks lessened on their own accord, but I now carry beta blockers around and also take one every night before bed as lying down in a bed can get me going. My mercury is conjunct venus (final depositor and chart ruler) in the 1 st, but it is badly afflicted opp moon/nep square saturn square mars/uranus (i.e. Part of a grand cross). If yr panic attacks recur, I advise speaking to your doctor about beta blockers. I wish I knew about them a long time ago. IP: Logged |
