How would you interpret this?

His Mars is in Aquarius and Pluto's in Virgo, while my Mars is in Aries and Pluto's in Scorpio.

You have to take orbs into account for it to be an actual aspect.
Signs alone don't count!

Also, Pluto is a generational planet, so Pluto sextile Pluto bears almost no signficance on a personal relationship.

Mars sextile Mars - if it's an actual aspect - points to a comfortable energy, the two people find it easy to relate to one another on an energetical level, it can point to attraction, as well.
