When person A's Sun conjuncts person B's MC and person B's Sun conjuncts person A's DSC?

So, angular contact both ways. Is it a common thing?

I've never heard of that exact combination before but I'd say it looks promising. A wants B to stick around (sun-DSC is a big thing, I believe; my sun is right on my husband's DSC for example.) And B could enjoy career success with A enlivening that MC.

Not a real astrologer, just guessing as usual.

Thanks Faith Your guesses are always welcome!
Part of the reason I asked is because I'm not so sure of the DSC portraying what I want. I feel like that's shown more on my ASC, strangely enough. When people have personal planets there I HAVE to notice them. Instant sparks and chemistry. Whereas people with planets on my DSC it's more like they soothe me. Great chemistry, just not the "oomph" that ASC contacts give me and that my Aries Venus loves so much.

I have a theory that this might have something to do with one of my natal YODs, my ASC being the focal point of two quincunxes. Which means anybody's planets there activate it at as well, and, planets on my DSC would "ground it," I think... I just wish I knew how to interpret YODs even slightly..

Like you though, I'm just a guesser. Albeit an intuitive one, but guessing nonetheless.

I know that DSC is supposed to show partners and how you handle relationships, but the connection between my DSC and my heart seems so much more friendly than loving and insistent. Which is why I wanted to know if that MC/Sun-DSC/Sun synastry was very meaningful or not.

The way you put it, we should be one of those happy, supporting, successful couples that everyone envies. I suppose that does fit though.. Hm, so maybe not raging with passion with these placements, but understanding and support?

Well, for what it's worth, my husband's sun is conjunct my Leo ASC, so I can relate. And I never dated, or even crushed on, an Aquarius (my DSC) but fell in love with Leos like every other week when I was young and single and boy crazy.

I've heard that planets conjunct your ASC make you channel the other person's planets' energy or something. So if their moon is on your ASC you naturally speak to their moon. The ASC person may become bothered if it comes to the point where those planets on your ASC seem to have immoderate influence, like you can't shake off their planets but feel locked into responding to them. Just as you said:

I read about this on an old thread that I will have to look for again; it was interesting.

That would be my guess, but astrology is so tricky and certain aspects could undermine it, I would think.

Was this question about you and your fiance? (Sorry if that's nosey)

Best wishes~

No apologies necessary..

Yes it's about my fiance and I

My Sun/Merc conjunct his MC in his 10H and his Sun/Merc/Venus sit on my DSC in my 7H..

I guess I've just always expected that DSC contact to be super noticeable and it just isn't to me for some reason.

Just like the whole Sun/Moon conjunction business doesn't apply to me. I have so few Taurus Sun friends and NONE of them conjunct my moon. And the ones that I DO have, I don't feel like they get me all that well. :/

I feel like an astrological anomaly sometimes..

It's cool to be an anomaly!

And maybe his planets on your DSC aren't noticeable to you in an emotional way, but you and he ARE engaged so it's noticeable in a social context (7H/Libra)?

I haven't found the ASC synastry Lindaland page I was looking for yet, but I found this, which adds to what we were saying about ASC-sun conjunctions:

quote:
Ascendant conjunction Sun: This is one of the great indicators for a stable and long lasting relationship. The ascendant individual can identify with the solar person and the solar person has respect and admiration for the ascendant individual. The ascendant person likes the purpose or main goal in life of the solar person. The solar person often (subconsciously or not) wishes that they were more like the ascendant person. If romance is possible, then this is often an indication of a physical attraction.

That's one of my favorite sites!!!

And yes, we are engaged so I suppose the Libra/7H-ness of it is apparent. I just wonder if it's enough for my uber-attention seeking ASC/Venus combo :/

I almost just choked on my blueberry smoothie from laughing so hard.

I mean, I'm sorry you have doubts, but as a fellow uber-attention seeking Leo rising, I think I know exactly what you are talking about.

Good luck
