so my question is, what would be the components astrologically for a person who does not have much of a love nature?also, what would cause someone who's chart has say, venus in the 7th to dislike putting up with relationships of any kind? someone who cant feel intimate? IP: Logged |

my bf is EXTREMELY unromantic/unaffectionate. the cause? imo - moon opposite mercury (inability to express verbally how he feels), venus aqua @ 0 degrees retrograde, and Saturn in 7th, which leads to feeling restricted/tied in relationships. it's horrid at times to not get affection how I want it, but I realize that even w/less than perfect placements he is capable of showing love (in his own way). he has a leo moon housed in the 12th, so I would also think 12th house placements could inhibit affection too IP: Logged |

Mars in virgo finds it difficult to be intimate. They are not the kind who would jump into bed with someone after a few dates.Actually, they might find it more unlikely as they go through the relationship for the simple reason that they suddenly realize that they don't like the guy's hair style IP: Logged |

Often times people who are unromantic are often terrified of getting hurt. So they conceal their feelings. Everyone wants to express and receive love but feel hindered, its just human instinct. Unless they have asbergers or something.I would say venus in fall is often too frigid, these people have usually really insecure when it comes to love and romance. IP: Logged |

Saturn dominant people don't openly show affection although they are quite sentimental people. Gosh I wouldn't mind a guy who is not romantic because I don't consider myself a romantic person!I'm very generous, and warm in my affections towards people I like/love. Being romantic doesn't mean anything to me, it sure isn't a proof of love.IP: Logged |

What about Mercury ruled? I don't associate Mercury with romance. That's more Venus and Neptune, perhaps. Maybe the moon, too?IP: Logged |

^^ I think venus-neptune is about finding true love, believing that a flawless, life lasting, out of this world kind of love exists after all. Mercury-venus : I like reading love poems, they touch me deeply..but I don't expect guys to write me poems,it would bore me..gosh am I a complicated person or what??IP: Logged |

Being sun ruled Leo which house 5 belongs to would explain it, Jessica. House 5 is romance, isn't it?IP: Logged |

Ya?is that why I don't consider being romantic a proof of love? Jupiter is in H5 taurus ,sextile sun...am deeply moved by loyalty, consistency in affections, reliability, someone who stick by me for better or worst.. IP: Logged |

Having sun in Leo would explain the interest in poetry. With Taurus and Jupiter in house 5 you would want something more substantial than just poetry when it comes to real dating and romance. You are only interested in the real McCoy.

Truer words have not been spoken. Astrologically - debilitated Venus. Mine is an example - Retrograde Venus in Scorpio (in the 6th House) - Venus is in detriment - it's in retrograde - it's in a very unromantic and serious house Even more so - Saturn aspects of any kind. Don't expect miracles from trines and sextiles, Saturn is still Saturn. They make a person very loyal, reliable and committed but also very serious and mature about love. Gushy displays of love and whispering sweet nothings are very unnecessary and immature for Saturnine Venus. It's like giving a 40-something businessman a toy car to play with. IP: Logged |
