Topic: Do you overcompensate for your negative traits ?

You might be any sign but do you ever feel that you overcompensate for your negative traits. Your sign is "bu buh buh" so you try to do opposite.Not to pick on any sign, just for example:
Like Gemini are fickle so you stick around and be loyal to one thing or person. Like Over share when you are Scorpio just because people think you are Scorpio Like Do not like to keep materialistic things so you give away because you are Taurean. i used to try so hard.
i know i can be a bit brash to certain people with mercury in aries, but ive learned that people actually respect that. i was always trying to be so unopinionated and then i realized as i started directing that my opinions and thoughts actually help form WHO i am and HOW i act. ------------------

I try pretty hard to be mindlessly bubbly and smiling because I work in retail (in Los Angeles at that) and that's, unfortunately, what people expect instead of calm, well-thought out answers. It's in direct contrast with my Virgo ascendant and chart ruler in the 8th (in another steady sign, Taurus). I think being in Los Angeles is often at the peril of my entire chart. I'm just a quiet, sincere person but to "thrive" here in the most conventional sense you have to have energy flying off of your entire being with a mega watt, mindless smile and when I was a teenager it used to bother me quite a bit that I just wasn't that kind of person. Still somewhat does, lol. I'm just glad I have a large support system that loves me for who I am - I didn't before and I think that's what used to kill me on the inside. IP: Logged |

I definitely try to practice non judgment with Virgo sun because growing up my mom had many planets in Virgo, including Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, and that sign can drive people absolutely insane when they have to listen to hyper Virgo all day. I have learned to really despise some of the Virgo traits because of this. They make me want to scream and run away, slamming the door hard in their face.

Hmmm. Nahhhh. I embrace it!  I have my dark impulses now and again, jealousy, oversensitivity, etc. as a Scorpio, but I feel it's natural, so I let it be, and it passes of course. I work from it, and not let it control me!  IP: Logged |

I also think it is retail where one has to be bubbly more.

I really try to hide my cancer moodiness. That means I just avoid people when I'm blue, or completely fake it.I also try to not let on to people I don't know well how deeply sensitive I am. People are often surprised at what a total marshmellow I am when they get to know me. I come off untouchable when I first meet new people to compensate for my hyper-emotionality. IP: Logged |
