I've been puzzled for quite a while. If the aspect/placement negative what's wrong with living and doing the opposite of what it implies? Surely no one wants to integrate influences that are negative/lead to unhappiness?

We ALL have to learn lessons,depending upon our karmic baggage,for some it is heavier than others.No soul is inferior or superior.I don't view it that way.I believe there are more evolved and less evolved souls.

How does this manifest itself and how can it possibly be integrated?

I simply adore reading Venus Saturn people's blogs. There is so much going on about "we are late bloomers, we have a hard time loving ourselves etc", but once you tell them "I have this and I love myself and my body and im not like you" they start going out of their way convincing you that you actually are every bit like them! You tell them "actually I've got a grand trine between Venus, Pluto and ASC, I am sexually talented and my love is experienced and expressed intensely" and they don't give a damn, apparently it must be caused by envy, for I can see no other explanation

I think it simply means that you should try to make the best out of your placements - easy or hard aspects, you have to work with them and get something valuable out of them.

let's take this d****d venus saturn. ok, it means sucking at love. smarta$$es recommend old partners, responsible partners and other disgusting things as a way of embracing this aspect. suppose i want boys my age who are not too serious? does this mean i have to admit i'll never have them or if i do it will never work? that i was not cut out to love them and be loved by them? does this mean i have to be humble, be realistic about what i can't have and will never have, RESIGN and get laid with some wrinkled idiot who forgot when he last went dancing?

(ok, mine is weak and mitigated by tons of things, but nonetheless, just using as an example)

Venus square Saturn can point to financial difficulties or social awkwardness, also.
What houses do Venus and Saturn rule? That'll give a better picture of where potential challenges may lie for you.

i'm bitter at Liz Green and bloggers who tried SUPER hard to make me feel like sh*t, that's all. Just because a couple of women feel like late bloomers, they want to make me feel like one too! They don't say "I was a late bloomer", they say "we [venus sq saturn people] are late bloomers", apparently it makes them feel better. Why not just say it on their own behalf?

I started thinking this might be true and then - oh la-la! - I found out I had Venus trine ASC and Pluto and pretty much whatnot. So I don't know, I don't need help, that's for sure, I just want people to stop telling me that just because I have this stupid aspect (orb of bloody 5) I HAVE TO USE IT TO EVOLVE and that I WILL ENJOY OLDER MEN. I'm sorry, this is just not going to happen. I am unrepressed in all respects, I am sexually and romantically talented, I can make anyone feel loved and feel good, I love being loved when I love them back. Why is everyone telling me I am not allowed to?

Don't pay attention to what people tell you, then! You know yourself better than anyone else. So if you feel perfectly adequate and loveable, kudos to you, that's great.

A 5 degree orb isn't too wide, the way I see it, but as I said, it probably affects other areas of your life and doesn't have to affect your self-esteem (even though that's usually how it's played out).

And maybe you've already mastered it! So that's why you don't relate to the general description of this aspect.

Either way, it's perfectly fine.
