We should look at charts of asexual people.I'm not very interested in sex and used to consider myself asexual; but I don't know what in my chart would point to this - I know people who have the same aspects but who are very sexual.. hmm. I think it's different for men and women, also. Generally speaking most men are interested in sex, one way or another.. no matter where their Mars is. For women I think Mars/Neptune can point to a low interest in sex (but it doesn't have to).

I've Mars sextile Saturn and I'm not really interested in sex. I'm not sure if Mars being in the 11th and Saturn being in Aquarius have anything to do with this. IP: Logged |

I think some said Venus conjunct Mars could sometimes be considered asexual as their energies are fairly balanced and they have no problems being single and alone.IP: Logged |

Which to me means that it's absolutely nothing to do with aspects, sun, moon or the weather. To be honest, I wasn't particularly interested in sex until I met my current boyfriend and now I can't get enough of it. I've just found the right man at last..lol IP: Logged |

Mars conj Neptune men are no more interested in sex than the women are.

It's just much less frequent for Mars/Neptune people to find people they are sexually interested in, since they have a complicated sexuality.About Saturnian types - (Mars/Saturn for example) - the drive is very high but the self-control is higher.
With Neptune the drive is just well - weird.. not always non-existent, but odd - it comes and goes oddly - often it is 'low' though.

So when you say you have an interest in sex - do you mean that you have a high sex drive and would find several guys out there who you could be sexually attracted to - and - have sex with.
Personally.. I have a low drive. I love sex so much and have positive views about it, being an Aries -- but the desire to do it is often not there.
Because I'm demisexual, what turns me on is the intensity of the connection on an emotional level. If I have that, which happens rarely I can have sex every day.. But it's so rare.

I don't sleep around btw. I need to be in love to have sex. If I'm not, then I'm celibate. I'd rather masturbate than have one night stand. Lol. Sex for me can never be just in the physical level.

Soulstress - I'm similar to you -- but that being said I have nothing against sleeping around, morally speaking.
I've pretended that I do sleep around sometimes - to get a reaction and see whether the man I was "testing" - is sexist or not.
But I really have no interest in sex, for the sake if it. It just leaves me cold, so the desire isn't there.IP: Logged |

I'm a demi too. I love sex and think about it a lot but it's very rare for me to be sexually attracted to someone who I am not romantically interested in. For what it's worth I have Mars conjunct Neptune and I'm also demisexual. But perhaps those being in my 5H is also why I'm nonjudgmental about it and one of the few people here who will defend things like polyamory (heck, I'd consider such an arrangement for myself, but in demisexual terms), and I was in an exclusive sex club once just to satisfy my curiosity. I also don't like it when asexuals are automatically treated as having a problem. There are pros & cons to just about all the standard orientations and lifestyles. I wonder how much of it is mental for me, however. That is, I have so many interests that when I'm not having sex my energy is directed elsewhere so that my imagination doesn't have enough sex on the mind for my air & fire to fan those flames and thus don't feel desire. But when I get with someone where sex becomes likely, immanent, or even practiced then the air & fire fan those flames because that's where my imagination, and thus energy, goes. I've come to the conclusion that sex is more psychological than physical for a great many people, too (for example, being attracted to a certain look, race, build, habits such as smoking, etc, probably has sexual traits associated with the look in the person's mind, that is it's not the look that's attractive, but the assumptions that the look gives to the viewer which align with the viewer's sexual fantasies). It can get more complicated than that, from seeking to become more like or resolving issues toward the one attracted to (that is, toward the one the attractive person reminds the viewer of), I believe Jung made many good points on who we're attracted to, etc. IP: Logged |

I'm curious, why do you say 'complicated sexuality' for Mars-Neptune people? Like what do you mean by complicated, is there any way to fix it? I've been trying to figure out the mystery of my Mars-Neptune opposition for years and how it plays into my romantic life and it confuses the heck out of me sometimes. :'/ I have Mars in the 8th in Cancer, it is also trine Pluto in Scorpio so, most of the time I do have a strong sex drive [not to be tmi but yah, I do lol]. I don't think I'm not interested in sex, I just am very particular about having any new sexual encounters. Like I can't have casual sex, it has to mean something. But I can go very long amounts of time abstaining. I don't know if my situation applies but people who know me might just think I'm not interested in sex. If I'm in a relationship though - my drive is very high. I have Gemini Venus in the 8th conjunct my vertex and Chiron. I also have my Venus opposite Saturn , Neptune, and Uranus. Semi-sq my sun. Sesquiquadrate my ascendant. Also it's in the Taurus dwad, ruling my 7th and 12th house. I do have Mars inconjunct Neptune - to chime in on that conversation. IP: Logged |
